The site has been designed for 1024 * 768 resolution. Although this was tricky decision, we decided to go with future-proofing the site rather than heading for the lowest common denominator. We understand that not everyone has a 17" or bigger monitor but this is changing. The site is still viewable in 800 * 600 but it is not at its best. War of the Ring has its server with edge-hosts who's banner you can see above.

The site was designed using Dreamweaver 4 and TextIt. Graphics were produced using Fireworks 4 and Photoshop 7.

Some parts of the site do require Java to be enabled but most of the key navigation and elements will work without this. If you have a really old browser, you may have trouble with some parts.

The few animations on the site were produced using Flash MX and Swish 2.

Communication was largely conducted through AIM and e-mail with occasional phone calls or voice links.

The site make use of PERL, PHP, Javascript, Java and HTML.

War of the Ring is run off its own dedicated server.
