Haldir was an Elf of Lórien, he belonged to the Galadhrim. He guarded the northern borders of Lórien together with his brothers Rúmil and Orophin. When the Fellowship arrived at these borders after they had gone through the Mines of Moria, he became their guide and led them to Caras Galadhon, the capital of Lórien.

In Peter Jackson's Two Towers, Haldir also joined the battle at Helm's Deep. Being sent by Elrond to help the people of Rohan he fought under the command of Aragorn and died by being slain by an Uruk-Hai.

Haldir is performed by Craig Parker in Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings.
