Review by emplynx:

Peter Jackson recently created one of the best movies of 2001. His movie brought to life one of the greatest books of all times. The Fellowship of the Ring was released in December 2001 by New Line Cinemas. Jude Fisher wrote this book to help people to understand all of the characters.

The FotR Visual Companion is an excellent book that portrays the Fellowship movie very well. It is 72 pages of information and pictures about character, places, and things. The information is not always parallel to Tolkien's book but it follows the movie quite well.

The pictures are by far the best part of this book. It contains probably 100 full-color screenshots from the Fellowship. The front and back covers alone show how wonderful the pictures are.

This book is a great companion for any diehard Tolkien fan or just plain confused Fellowship movie fan. It does not contain information anywhere comparable to the Complete Guide to Middle Earth, but the pictures are stunning!

Comments:

I have read this book many times, and I have to say that it is a wonderful accompiant to the other books in its class. It provides beautiful photos, outrageous facts and details about the movie, and not to mention its info about their beloved actors/actresses! I, like many others, am a huge fan of this book, and I'm sure, many can agree!
