Hey fellow writers! I'd like to post a couple of links to present-day authors who do some brilliant work.
Dan Simmons might be best known for his "Hyperion" series of books but he is a prolific writer who has been successful in many different genres. He has taken the time to write installments called "Writing Well" and they are incredibly insightful and hopefully will be helpful to you. His latest installment is available at:

Phillip Pullman is probably best known as the author of "His Dark Materials" trilogy of books. He has a section on his website titled "About the Writing" which has some useful and interesting bits of information:

| Fanfic Gets a face-lift! |

For security reasons and just to clean the place up a bit, we just upgraded our Fanfic script to the latest version. There are plenty of new features such as an XML RSS feed that you can use to keep track of your favourite story and much...much...more!
I'd like to thank all the fine folks over at eFfiction for all their hard work on this upgrade and to Steve for helping me getting it to work! lol
