Anyone read anything by him? I read 'River God' not long ago which was excellent. I just wondered if people recommend any of the books in the series

I've only read 'River God' and was quite impressed by it, but haven't picked up anything else that he's written

there are three books in the series... the second comes to modern times and deals with an Egyptian archeologist (girl) who after her fathers murder, goes looking for and finds the ancient tomb that was hidden by the hero in the first book... who's name escapes me!!
The third book goes back again to ancient egypt and picks up the story again.. all were very entertaining!
I used to read Wilbur Smith a long time ago, before he became too one tracked with his Ballentyne family story's. Some of his best early books include... Hungry as The Sea, The Eye of the Tiger , Wild Justice... and I think.. The Sunbird also had some ancient Egyptian parallel??

There is also a fourth book in the Egypt- series now, "Warlock". It was ok, but the people in it had less dimension than in the previous. They all have fairly good plots, and I love good historical novels: the first is my favourite of them.

I have those books in my room but haven't bothered to get into them. I began reading River God but then my dad told me to read LOTR instead and now he has my on Dragonlance but i will get back to it eventually!

I've read River God (my personal fav) and The Seventh Scroll. I'm going to read Warlock as soon as I can (bookreports leave no freedom of choice). What are the four? I only thought there were 3? Also, anyone read Monsoon? My mom said it was so-so. She had a hard time getting through it.
