I kinda felt sorry for this part of the games section :boohoo:, so i decided to make a thread...hmm...well, the only thing i have to say bout the trading game is that the pics r cool. The ones with orlando bloom on them especially... :loveyou: Anyone agree that the one with him walking on snow is pretty crap? I mean...where's his face?! :wicked:

AH have you started playing now then Mat? Yes the pics on the cards are excellent, though I can't say I was displeased no tto see the golden ones face up close ;-)

I bought a whole load of them for the photo section , you know to scan for any we did not have, even got some metallic ones, very cool.

The main site gaming section will start in a while properly. Seraathorn who is going to be organising it it a little busy for a few weeks, but be assured that he knows his stuff.

But as Mat says any questions about the tcg give him a shout or post here. Or if you play it already why not review it for us aor tell us what you think we should create on it.

I used to play a bit of Magic: The Gathering but got tired of the format after a while. I have been picking up the LOTR trading cards from Decipher as well (as a matter of fact, just went through a whole booster box of "Mines of Moria" - got 'em all but 8 rares ... hehe).

I think the reason I'm getting them is for the pics ... I really don't know ... hahahaha.

Going back to when people were actually talking about the LoTR TCG, Matthew and I (we are brothers) play it alot....the elven cards are really good (esp. the new Lego :rolleyes:) to the despair of my "dwarven" brother...I often wip his weak little butt :fanboy: with my almighty elven deck

So, you guys have actually played it, eh? Can you give us a detailed summary of what you think about it?

Is it well-balanced? Are the rules more difficult or simplier than other CCGs you've played? Are there any cards that are "must-haves" for gameplay?

Any info. you can give us would be great!

okee dokee....hmmm.....

in a game, you play either as the fellowship trying to get to "site 9" or the bad guys trying to crush the ringbearer.... the players taking turns...it is pretty well balanced, but the rules aren't really that simple, and i don't really reccomend it to anyone under 12, cuz of how difficult it is to learn...there aren't really any "must have" cards except frodo and the one ring, and your nine sites...also, you might wanna get some little token thingies if you wanna play it...which one should have if the have played any tcg's b4...

hey sorry i havent been on in a while yknow playing the tcg and all anyway in he game you have at least 60 cards, you can have more but the good people cards and bad people cards have to be equal,there can be many different decks elves, dwarves, my fave, but prob most people will have legolas, aragorn, and arwen(cept for me i have gimli, gloin farin, ect) but if you have any wuestions just ask me ill be glad to answer
