Boat question

Apologies if this has been covered before by people, but was watching a mate's August release DVD and noticed something at the very end, could be a blooper or not. Frodo is in the boat off by himself and Sam comes down to the river side and wades in.

This all takes place with Frodo and Sam in view with Frodo nearest the camera. Next shot of Sam sinking, looking in the boat, errr it's empty! In the book Frodo wears the rings when he leaves but in the film he doesn't, so is it a blooper? Still, can't wait for November :)

Here's my theory on Sam and Frodo and their places in the boat:

Ok, there's obviously a missing scene, because of 1) Gollum, log with eyes picture, and 2) several night-time photos by rocks of Aragorn and Boromir. (No, not Moria, they have their Lorien cloaks).

My take is that they twitched the day (in the film) after that missing night-time scene. That's why they switched places. After all, the trip down the Great River did not take one day, it took around 8 days if I remember correctly. (I don't have my book, but I remember looking at the Appendixes at the timeline.)

i didnt notice that but will check it out. My mate says 2 check out Sam when they r on cahradras and the 1st lot of snows about to fall on them. he says sumthin he shouldnt or sumthin ; )

i only got it of a website....not very good at noticing things like that in films. There are loadssa things in fotr, like when aragorn rushes past some rocks in moria and they wobble....

Okay, news flash! Frodo is in the boat. Watched it yesterday and noticed grey spot near prow of boat. It then gets bigger. Its Frodo! Really. If you look, you'll see.

Yes.. he's there.. he's just looking for Sam so he's sort of hiding at the end of the boat. But it does look empty at first sight. :)

Belaqua is right i was there 2 as it was my house and u can see him lookin.he's just crouchin really low when he shouts SAMMMMM!!! luv that line....lol
