If you have not seen it, wait till tonight. Thats my advice. The version released is tiny, better wait for a nice big one.

I've seen it already so too late! :)

The Wargs from what little I've seen look to me to be more akin to Tasmanian Tigers or Hyenas than wolves! If so this is excellent, and another sign that a paleontologist or at least someone well versed in natural history and maybe folklore was consulted.

In prehistoric times giant hyenas roamed throughout the Eurasian continent which again links the films to a genuine timeline the way the Mumak does. It's a brilliant choice in more than one way! In Tanzania the Wambugwe tribe believe that witches will ride hyenas and thus, call them night cattle. There are tales of naked hyena-men-witches riding hyenas in the night to their gathering places and carrying torches. In fact, hyenas are associated with witchcraft throughout all Africa. This folklore is very reminiscent of Tolkien's warg riders.

You can find out a little about hyena folklore here: http://www.anotherland.com/hg-0900.htm

actually they do resemble big heyenas...i was trying to think of what they reminded me of......and yeah, Heyenas have always been associated with magic and sorcery...thats a very cool idea...

I only got the first stream before I went to bed, and that invariably stopped as soon as it showed Gandalf and the Balrog. So I've seen the first part, but not bbeyond that. :)

full screen is probably the best way to go, if y'all can manage it. the wargs, treebeard, gollum and especially the balrog are all worth the wait. the wargs especially, oversized gerbils they aren't...or shouldn't be lol

Its on the official site... you need Quicktime... the site is here (http://www.lordoftherings.net). Um, just click on the first link, the pic that says "New Trailer" with Saruman on it... if you don't have Quicktime it will give you a link to get it... just follow the instructions. I hope this helps. The trailer is awesome.
