Ok...we've all seen the part of the trailer where Treebeard is plucking Merry, I believe it was he, from the ground. To scoop down to pick up something, one usually has to be bendable. But Treebeard is not very bendable...like a tree. lol
But what does this mean for the film? Let's hope not. Not much hope, PJ changes everything else, so why wouldn't he change poor Treebeard. mecry

If he's as inflexible as a tree trunk though how can he walk?
Shouldn't he be tossing splinters with every step?

It looked to mee like Treebeard just has really long arms, ...branches...things! lol Sorry, couldn't resist.
It didn't look like there was much torso bending going on to me, but it was a very short glipse. Must go hyper annalize now. :fanboy:

Well ... I have no issues with treebeard being a little bendable. To effectively initiate battle, I would assume that the Ents could bend and twist some at any rate. Maybe they can't handle a 180º bend like humans but then should have some measure of mobility.
