Yeah, New Line should get Chris Columbus to replace Brain Dead "PJ" once they get ready for The Hobbit :rolleyes: ... Chris doesn't change anything and look how much better his adaptation was.

So P.J. changed the novels to adapt them to film. I'm not pleased about the changes either, but FOTR was excellent, and I'm sure TTT & ROTK will be to.

Well I don't have problems with changes as such. Though I am not sure what elves at HD brings to the storty tleling. But we will see. Still Haldir meeting his end is a bonus :-) ;-)

Ucould storm the theatres and cut the film reel where poor ol' haldir meets his end and then pretend he's sort of there in the backround 4 the rest of the movie :huh:

Hmmm...I don't wanna him to die either...

But think about this. All the common movie-goers (those ignorant people you know...:naughty: ) didn't have a great impression on Haldir and other elves...so their heroic death might give those "people" more ideas about what elves are doing in ME except sending Leggie around and do the job! :naughty: lol

whoa, ok you know this isnt right. lothlorien elves DO NOT go to helms deep. what is with that? why dont they just bring in galadril and bedone with it? (hehe, sry. i'm not to fond of the story changing. elves at helms deep, what is this world coming to?) is it me? or do the elves eem to have a lot of changes? first pj nixes glorfindel (poor glorfy) puts in arwen. then he puts arwen in the towo towers when in the book she doesnt even show up. (i think maybe pj has a whole arwen and aragorn thing) and now elves at HELMS DEEP! NOOOO. well, i am done with my rant now. thank you all for listening.<<smiles sheepishly>>

If you've read the books, or even played the GREAT TTT game by EA then you know that Saruman has this terrible 'fire' that goes kerboom and blows things up. I have been told that one of these kabooms is what kills Haldir and many of those fighting on the walls of Helm's Deep.

There's also these beserking Orcs that look like Saruman fed them too many steriods who strap barrels of this 'fire' to their backs, pick up a flaming torch, and run towards the walls, ready to blow themselves up. There's a photo of it in my computer somewhere, but it's too big to post here. I kind of think I got if from Elbaken, but I won't swear to that.

Watch the videos on line from the game to see the action in the Hornburg courtyard and you'll see some of the wall blowing up in the video (and when you play the game it blows up every time)
or the Breeched Wall when you play the actual game.

Friend, I'm neutral when it comes to referring to the actors and characters of LOTR, but I absolutely MUST object to this. Haldir is pleasant to look at for sure, but he is undoubtfully NOT cute.
