And which party - the one in the woods, when the dwarves were captured or the one when they escaped?

Legolas was not mentioned before LotR but of course he was born and grown-up long before that party. So if he was in the palace during that period he probably was in the party/ies. Especially the second one which seemed to be a big event - autumn feast, I think.

I always believed that Legolas was there at the parties in the woods that kept disappearing and re-appearing...since i read lotr anyway and i could combine knowledge of the hobbit and lotr. I tried drawing a picture once of what the dwarves and bilbo would have been able to see...but that was a long time ago...maybe i should try again sometime...and i would definitely include legolas in the picture... :thumbs: :p
