If it's something that a character would be likely to do (elrond fighting, yay!), go for it. but if it goes against the characteristics don't you dare (arwen fighting, grrr).

once again seeing agent smith fight and seeing elrond fight are two completley different experiences. with the matrix it's all high tech kung fu stuff while in the LOTR it would be bows and arrows, swords and slick elven skillz. i don't know about you but i'd choose elven skillz over computer generated martial arts any day.
