I'd like the Three Rings of the Elves. They're the fairest of the Rings of Power, having never been corrupted.

there should be a "none. I don't want a RIng of Power." option. I don't want a Ring! What a horrid thought, all that responsibility... erg. Not for me, thanks, I don't want to be controled by some Ruling Ring... even if I made it it would freak me out.
So... my vote is... NONE! even tho tisnt an option... I just won't vote ;)

Bonos-Girl
October 13th,2002, 12:08 PM
it would be cool to have the one ring but there would be so much responsibility. the best rings to have would be the elven rings because they were made by the elves so sauron had no part in the production of them.
Lord Raistlin
October 13th,2002, 05:19 PM
cool man!

October 13th,2002, 06:05 PM

The elven rings. They are so pretty
Bawax
October 26th,2002, 05:00 PM
i'd go for one of the rings of men, turning into a wraith would have been a great experience, long life, scaring the hell outta people, having a big bird to fly you about, invisible, what more could you ask for?
Bramblerose Bunce
October 27th,2002, 01:21 PM
although that sounds ..errr..nice, Bawax. I have chosen the elvenrings. I have no real reason why..just seemed like a good choice.

I want the Witchking's ring and Aragon's ring.
Bonos-Girl
November 1st,2002, 05:27 PM
the elven rings are best cos they have no power to corrupt the people who wear them!
Lady Ashley
November 1st,2002, 09:43 PM
Exactly! They were made for good, not evil. Sauron never touched them. Yet imagine what you could do with them! Preserve a forest from being cut down! Use them to re-grow living things and clean the air and water! (well, I don't know about those last few. Preservation of old things seems to be what the Elven Rings could do, but...hmmm....)

well... does this not apply to the dwarven rings? i mean, about the no power to corrupt. is this so? or am i just wrong? :p it's been known to happen :o
Mirkgirl
November 3rd,2002, 11:46 PM
I think it was more that dwarves were hard to corrupt.
Bonos-Girl
November 4th,2002, 05:54 PM
yep...the dwarves helped to forge their rings but sauron had a part in their constuction whereas the elven rings ewre made completely sauron-free!!

November 12th,2002, 11:28 PM
The Elven Rings definitely! I don't think I'd want the one ring unless I was on my way to destoy it i mean after all it only has the power to do evil right?:dragon:
Bonos-Girl
November 13th,2002, 05:42 PM
yep...all good it's wearers try to do turn evil...although it did kinda kill itself...

I chose the Elf Rings. Because they are Delicate and Beautiful. Mystical, and Magical.... I didn't go for the Dwarves Rings, cause they just didn't appeal to me. The one ring, because I wouldn't want to weild that much power. And I finally didn't choose the Rings of Men, because turning into a Ringwraith isn't something I'd like to go through.. ;)

I agree, Andunauriel, hense, I said Elven rings. If I'm not mistaking, isn't Elronds ring once Celebran's? Or who is it? Gandalf has one, I believe he got that from Gil-galad. Elronds ring is...Vilya?

If memory serves. Gandalf got his after the original bearer an older Elf, (I sadly can't remember his name), went to the Grey Havens. Elrond & Galadriel also recieved there rings as part of the Original Three. :)

Aerandir, I couldn't remember the names of either the Rings or who it was that gave Gandalf his ring until you mentioned these ones. It sounds as if Gil-galad is the right name but I'll have to check again...Personally, I would want Galadriel's ring. It's beautiful and the power it holds is intriguing.

Celebrimbor forged the rings and sent one (Nenya, ring of water) to Galadriel and she kept it. The other two were sent to Gil-Galad, who gave them to Cirdan and Elrond. Elrond keeps his ring (Vilya ring of Air). Cirdan kept the Nerya (Ring of Fire) till Gandalf came and as he stepped on Middle Earth he gave it to him.

Of the three Elvish rings, I too would probably choiose Nenya. Plus, one of the translations of my name in Quenya means 'White Wave' pretty cool huh.;)

I voted for the 3 Rings of the Elves and my favourite is the Ring of Water belonging to Galadriel because I like the water element.

The one ring! Then I could be all powerful and spy on people and destroy my enemies without being seen. Who would believe that an invisible man killed them? Bwahahahaha

Of course I want an Elven ring, most likely Narya, the ring of fire. And we must keep in mind that the One Ring cannot be wielded by any save Sauron.

Of course, nowadays, we have all the DNA evidence. Imagine the peoples of Middle Earth taking Sauron to trial over a few flakes of skin found at the crime scene :p.

If the one ring wasn't evil, I would go with the quote above, otherwise, vilya.
