Dear Warringers,

the posting rules are the same for all the forums, but in the books section few more things should be considered before posting.

First of all one of the main purposes of the Library is to be an educational resource. Therefore posts which don't give anything new (information, opinion, question, theory, anything) impede the discussions and drive people away from the topic.

A good example is Elrond:The Idiot. I'm not quite found of the topic, as you can see from my posts, but in the discussion some interesting observations came out. However they were all lost in the spam. I've tried to clean this and the other threads to help the discussions continue smoothly.

Please don't make posts which are only "interesting/great/good thread" or "you're right, <nick>". I'm sure you can come up with a few sentences on the topic! Post them together with your appreciation to the author of the thread/previous post! Remember ... any deleted post counts against your total post count. Insuring that your posts contain good content also allows you to contribute something of value to the discussion thereby ... benefitting all.

Thanks in advance!

Well an addition to the currect rules is needed. A bunch of "A versus B" threads have been started during the last weeks. Discussion of brute strength conflicts between Middle-Earth characters is hardly what the Library is here for.

Please don't start such threads as from now on they are going to be removed. The one started would be let to continue with the remark that you're free to discuss futher than just brute strength conflict in them.

I don't say you can't compare Middle-Earth characters, but there's more than power what matters. Also, you are welcome to discuss the best warrior in the First Age, or the best human warrior, but discussing every couple in different thread is just too much.
