who has read Dragonlance?

I read most of the Dragonlance books. I love is Raistlin and Tass. They are so cool.

Bloodly hell! He is not DEAD! He is just in Abyss .

His brother, Caramon think that the God forgave Raistlin and Raistlin is in Heaven. But some people think Raistlin Sacrifice himself to save others. But other people still think that Raistlin is in Abyss getting killed by the Dark Queen over and over again. But Raistlin did not sacrifice himself to save other people or his brother or the conclave.

When he is in Abyss, he is tortured by the Dark Queen and kill by her. But he will be alive again when he wake up everyday he will just see her and tortured by her over and over again.

And after about 30 years later (Dragon of the Summer Flames), Caramon's son Palin and Tass went in to the Abyss to save him!.


In the Second Generation book:
"I just want you to know," Raistlin Cried, "that I didn't do this for you, mages! I didn't do it for the conclave. I didn't do it for my brother. I had one more debt to pay in my lifetime. Now I have Discharged it. I can sleep in peace."

He care of his brother but he think that his brother is too over protective over him. And the people around him is very bad to him. He do not want to be look down by people. That why he turn to the dark side of the froce.

In the book( The Soulforge) when he was young, Antimodes, a great mage ask Raistlin a Question:

""I have a Question for you. Why Do you want to become a mage?"

Raistlin's Blue eyes flared. "I like the feeling of the magic inside me. And..." -- He glanced at Otik, bustling about the counter; Raistlin's thin lips parted in a pallid smile--- "and someday fat innkeepers will bow to me."

Antimodes, taken a back, looked at the Child to see if he were joking.

Raistlin was not.

And in Dragon of the Autumn Twilight, he told Tanis Half-Elven (page 126) :

"Even if I am twisted and warped." Raistlin's voice rose witrh harsh arrogance. "yes, I am smarted than you---all of you. And someday I will prove it! Someday you---with all your strenght and charm and good looks--you, all of you, will call me master!" His hands clenched to fists inside his rodes, his eyes flared red in the crimson moonlight.

In every of the book everyone is not like is Raistlin and do not tust him. And think he have no strenght. and etc. When he was young, everyone bully him. But his brother help him.

In the Heroes of the Lance team, Sturm brightblade(I hate this man) hate him. Flint Firefoge not so like him. Tasslehoff Burrfoot like to see his bag(100% love to see his bag). Goldmoon tust him abit (about 20%). Riverwind do not tust him (100%). Tika Waylan is lerning to tust him (about 10%. Becase raistlin is scary). Laurana Kanan is lerning too (about 5%)

Atleast Raistlin's character is original in the books. He is an admirable bad guy but don't expect him to turn nice..he will always be evil!!!

How many of you are familiar with the Dragonlance Saga? I've read every single Dragonlance novel by Weis and Hickman and they're fantastic. I started reading one by another author 'bout a year ago but I stopped shortly into it, it wasn't nearly as good. I liked every series. The Chronicles was enchanting, The Twins Trilogy was awesome. What did you all, who've read it, think of The War of Souls? I thought it was an excellent ending.

Chronicles was one of the first fantasy books I ever read, and got me really longing for more!

Chronicles amd Legends were the best ones. after that, everything got a bit dodgy. The War of Souls was ok, but I think they've milked the series enough, IMHO.

The Sovereign Stone trilogy is pretty good though, even though its not Dragonlance, its still W&H!:

DRAGONLANCE is a pretty good series. I,however, had a hard time getting into the series. I felt that it was kind of a rip off of LOTR. :(
