October 15th,2002, 12:44 PM
so...i'm guessing u'd say that the book is better than the movie? ;)
see, my whole thing was...told that Colombus' movie was an exact rendition of the book...and ya know how awful the movie turned out to be pfbbt
Tar-Ancalimė
October 15th,2002, 04:57 PM
Whoever told you it was an exact rendition of the book was lying, as simple as that. It tore apart some wonderful charaters and misused themes and generally employed lousy actors. The special effects were good, but come on, except in a very few rare cases, special effects don't make the movie.
Anyway, I think you should read the book, then if you don't like it... fine, a lot of people don't.
Ronin
October 15th,2002, 07:22 PM
well, perhaps rendition wasn't the best word to use. and while it may have diverged from the book at a few points...i assure u that Rowling didn't let it meander too far off the path she had created. thats one thing that originally annoyed me about the movie, that Rowling had a death hold over the reigns of the project...not letting Colombus deviate, ultimately, from the book.
but as u say, i should read the book.
and btw, i personally thought that the FX for HP was some of the worst stuff on screen last year. from the troll to the quidditch match, awfully cartoonish that threw me right from the movie.
Lady Arien
October 15th,2002, 10:33 PM
Well then, I guess no one will be inviting YOU to see the next one!!! Personally, I thought the Quidditch match was one of the best parts....like being in a video game....the troll, well, not everyone can do trolls like PJ, can they?

I liked the HP movie, but I prefered the book.
BTW from what I hear JK Rowling has writers block so we are gonna have to wait for the fifth book.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

heh... nessa hon... we;ve already waited three darn years... more wait is nothing new... and ive read a lot of things where JKR specifically says, she does not have writers block... but thats just what i heard

Well, I think the movie was great, and I have children watching it all the time, so I've seen it enough! I started reading the first book a year before it was in the theaters, and I was very comfortable with what Colombus had done. After all, with such a complexed plot, it's impossible to get it all in. I feel that the caracters who are in the film are made to be in the least the essence of what they are in the book, and most of them are portrayed like I imagined them. But then again that's what happens when you make a film out of a book, there will be thousands of opinions on whether it's good or not. But enough about that, I'm straying of subject. The books; These are the best books I have read in a long time. It has to be said that I'm not into heavy, complex litterature, I get whoozzy in the head. (My poor head!) I like fantazy and historical novels, guess that comes as a surprise! Even if HP are ment to be childrens books, Rowlings gives him and the other caracters such vivid life, and the plots are very good! She's managed to surprise me all along, and I can't wait for the fifth book to come out. Which, may I add, is supposed to take place somewhere between january and march. My daughter, like me, is completely Potteroholic, and we spend a little time on the Potter webs to read news about the next book and film. So this is the last imformation about "The order of the Phoenix".

October 17th,2002, 03:01 PM
heh yeah i spend too much time on the net looking for stuff about it as well. I'm suscribed to two listings that keep up updated on book news... but i heard summer of next year at the earliest... tho i could of course be wrong (its been known to happen :o). I love them as well... and even tho i disagree with you about the movie... you do have some good points... it's very difficult to make a wonderful book into a wonderful movie. IMO PJ achieved this... but Columbus didn't do so well. Bu nm, this is all my opinion.
Cuiel Rilwen
October 17th,2002, 04:02 PM
Yeah, but that's what it's all about, sharing opinions! I might be guilty of having to low expectations when it comes to making a book into a film, since I've seen some horrific examples, f.ex. the animated LOTR pfbbt i hated it! But then again, every person that reads a book will make their own image on how the caracters are. So maybe my imaginations are more similar to Columbus', who knows! PJ certainly did an excellent job of it.
I think the info on the fifth HP- book came from The Leaky Cauldron, and I seem to remember it said that the statement came directly from Bloomsbury Publishing. Hope it will be true, we're all aching! Will start reading "the Hobbit" to her for the first time these days, wonder if she's gonna like it now. I tried a year ago, but she had no interest in it then.

I got my info on the grapevine, and you know how rumers spread and change, so Jk may or may not have writers block.
I keep on hearing dates when the next book is comming out and they keep changing.
As my Pa says, 'It's a little closer but it's no nearer'.

Cuiel, what about the animated Hobbit as opposed to LOTR...ever experienced that one (Hobbit being a great animated interpretation in my mind)?
awww...Lady Arien, does that mean u won't take me? ;) tho i'd agree with u, the Quidditch match had a very video game feel to it...the cartoony graphics and the lack of dramatic tension...guess it just rubbed me the wrong way, i like my fantasy to have some modicum of reality to it (in representation i mean).
and for all intents and purposes, it was not Columbus' take on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone...it was AOL's and Rowling's. thats the one thing that irritated me about this entire project from the get go, Rowling couldn't stand to let her world be represented by anyone other than herself. somewhat understandle and great for a do or die book adaptation...but strict adherence does not a good movie make. columbus is by far not one of my favorite directors but the ease and relative fluidity in his other films are completely vacant in Harry Potter...its stiff and if anything, something the new Lucas would be proud of.

I haven't seen the animated Hobbit, actually I don't think it's ever been on sale up here. At least I didn't know anything about it until I got my pc, and started surfing. Is it so good that I should go to the troubble of getting it from f. ex. Amazon?

Forgot to tell you guys, I visited Bloomsbury Magazine's site this afternoon, and signed up for news on the upcomming book(s). They had no date what so ever, so everything we've all heard is probably just rumours.:( Does anybody know where one can purchase som patience...?
Ronin
October 17th,2002, 08:30 PM
hmmm...i would personally buy The Hobbit, have bought actually, without a second's thought...but then again i am rather a raving Tolkien-nut whose bias should be taken into account ;)
Tar-Ancalimė
October 18th,2002, 01:10 AM
I wouldn't... because I watched it when I was young, and it gave me rediculous nightmares... tho this is probably because I was a little stupid lol I haven't watched it since tho I certainly wouldn't go buying it online.
Ah yes... patience... what a virtue ;) No Cuiel, I don't know... I would buy some as well :)

lol...nightmares from The Hobbit...i have to be honest, thats a new one on me ;)
Tar-Ancalimė
October 18th,2002, 09:29 PM
well not nightmares... not terrible scary horrible dreams that terrified me and made me afraid to go to sleep... no.
but they were rediculous... I just remember bits and pieces... like Bilbo was running from Smaug wearing his ring but it wouldnt make it invisible and i wanted to yell at him and tell him to put it on his other finger cause that, you see, would make him invisible and he could escape the dragon. but he didnt hear me and smaug ate him.... another scene I still sort of remember is where the dwarves, gandalf, and bilbo were fish in gollum's pool... and i think he ate them but I'm not sure about that one... and another thing about those dreams that scared me was that bilbo sometimes looked like a goblin which confused me because i wanted bilbo to kill all the goblins... yeah  I have just proved to everybody here that I am insane... I know it
anyway! back to Harry Potter... it is terrific... you should read them ronin... if you still dont like them then, well... we can have countless wasted hours arguing the point lol
Ronin
October 19th,2002, 03:03 PM
oh but Tar, we can have hours of arguments even without me reading the books...lol...tho i guess it would give some legitimacy to my arguments ;)
yeah, yelling at the screen doesn't really help does it? ;) hmmm...not insane my friend...just different, and we like different...and skewed too...skewed is good lol

I love the books. I read them all last Christmas. I couldn't stop, I even forgot to sleep sometimes because I was so into the books.
Just like when I read the LOTR trilogy.
I've been wanting to reread the books since then.. I almost started reading the first book again right after finishing the last one. But I haven' t had time.
As for the movie, I love that too. It's really sweet. :) And I'm going to see the new one tomorrow when it's released over here. I'm looking forward to that.

I'm looking for a post comparing the elements in Potter with LOTR. I saw fragments on lots of different sites and threads but nothing comprehensive. Something right down to Mirror of Galadriel and Mirror in Dumbldore's Closet, spiders, etc. Can anyone produce such a list or direct me? The Star Wars post was a perfect counterpart for what I'm wanting with Harry Potter!
That was Grima Wormtongue's work in Amon Hen (Other Movies)

OK, the books are better than the movies. I mean, Chris Columbus is taking stuff out!! I mean, taking out just afew liiiitle things, like days that they were just studying, and something funny might have happened I can understand. But taking out CHARACTERS???? I mean, I liked Peeves!!! Iknow he's annoying, but he is pretty funny, you gotta admit. He does help get Harry outta trouble every now and then, by trying to get someone else into trouble, but, nontheless!!! Ok, I'm gonna stop now, b4 I ge myself into trouble!!! ;) :)

Ok Boys and Girls....If it pleases you.....I want you all to check out this website if you get a chance.... www.mugglenet.com It's got Book 5 facts and theories and ideas and not to mention updates on news about Rowling and her new addition (baby sooon). The reason I was hoping is then maybe we can all talk about what we speculate will happen in Book 5? I know that there are characters already introduced in the previous Books (1-4) that we as readers (as well as Harry himself) aren't aware are magical. And because of that and Voldemort's return we will meet them in Book 5!!! So if you get the chance PM me and let me know what you think....I'm always open to talk about Tolkien or Harry Potter....big fan of both. Take care....:)

Do you think Rowling copied J.R.R Tolkien with some aspects? I get that she probably got the "He Who Must Not Be Named" thing from when characters talk about Sauron sometimes saying "The Nameless land" or the "Nameless". (If she read the book that is)!! What do you think?

lupin-david thewlis (think bad guy in dinotopia)
sirius - gary oldman!!!!! :whoohoo: (bad guy from 'lost in space')
pettigrew - timothy spall (nicholas nickleby)
new dumbledore - michael Gambon (can't remember where I know him from)

I'm addicted!mecry As a matter of fact, I stayed up late last night at my friend's birthday/sleepover party to finish reading the whole thing. They laughed at me when I said, "Oh my gosh! Scabbers is Voldemort!" Anyway, needless to say, it was great!:) I am now officially a Harry Potter adddict. (Which is a big accomplishment as I hated the poor lad for many years) So, WOOHOO! Oh, and *gulp* I thought that the guy who played Snape (in the movie) was hot as Snape. . . .But that's just me being sick,I guess. . . .

Well, Satan should find better things to do then make up funny names and have cars saving kids from oversized spiders. Anyway, that's just silly in my opinion.
So, I am in love with these books and all the subtle and not so subtle hints she places in them to help us along. The one hint I cannot figure out is what role Crookshanks still has to play in Harry's life. Obviously he is more important then just a mediator between Sirius and Peter but what...?? He may even be another unregistered Animagus? But he's special and specific to the story still. What are your opionions?

OK, so back to the books!!!! I seem to have found an obsession....but I'm certain it will only last a few weeks so I'm ok. Evenstar
March 28th,2003, 07:57 PM
I don't think it will be Neville. I don't know why, but I don't think JK Rowling would kill him off in the 5th book. It probably could be Colin, but he's quite a small character so his death wouldn't make as big an impact on the reader than if it was Neville... unless Colin gets a bigger part in the 5th book. Of course it could be a totally new character she introduces into the story. But I don't think its that either.
I hope it's not Sirius because that would just be evil, killing him and leaving Harry with no parental people. Who else do you think she might kill?
Bonos-Girl
March 28th,2003, 09:09 PM

Here's why I think it won't be Dumbledore or Hagrid. One, Dumbledore is mentioned to be the "one" wizard Voldemort is truly afraid of so he won't be killing him anytime too soon. We have at least 2 more books for that to happen. More likely 6 at the earliest or if at all then in number 7. She may suprise us all and make Dumbledore invincible just to spite Voldemort (since that is what he seeks in the first place). As for Hagrid, there is still a use for him. If he does die in this book it will be at the very end, during a noble and ferocious battle against the dark forces (not unlike Boromir). His heart is bigger then is brain sometimes and with a bodyguard like that Harry can't go wrong.
OK here is why I think it will be a Weasley, in particular Molly Weasley. Yes, the mother. Just because there is a parallel in the deaths of Harry's parents and JK's mother doesn't mean that is how she meant it to be. I do think however that she would mean for a mother figure very dear to Harry ( whom she has always says is another version of herself) to die while he is still young. It could be McGonagall, it could be Hooch, or it could even be, Hermione's mom, but I still think though this always open to debate and is most certainly my own formed opinion so please take it as such, it will be Molly Weasley. What about you guys? Any ideas?

hi! i am COMPLETELY potterholic. (naw, really? lol )
personally, i thought the movies were FAB and i can't wait till TOMORROW cuz HP and the CoS comes out on DVD!!!! WOOHOO! i've got my copy reserved... hehe...
the books are simply brill. my fave series. LOTR comes in second. that took me a while to figure out...
i dunno who is gonna die. she SAID it was gonna be a MAIN character. and does anyone here think that Molly Weasly is a MAIN character? i don't. it CAN"T be Ron or Hermione, because Ron's the sidekick, ya can't have a hero without your sidekick, now can you? and Mione is the 'Miss Brains'. she's the logic of the group. it's probably gonna be a weasley, though. possibly even Hagrid. but Dumbledore won't die, i think. he has to stay for a while, and if he does die, it'll be by the side of Harry, unless he, like Saruman, goes bad... :elfeek: :elfeek: but i highly doubt that.
Harry might die in the Seventh book. he might be drained of all his powers and lie in a coma for the rest of his life. something terrible WILL happen to Harry. she won't make it all 'peaches and cream' for him.
Draco, Eru knows what'll happen to him. he's most likely gonna become a deatheater and die. poor guy... just goes to show you CAN blame everything on your parents! ;) ;) ;) lol joking! any other oppinions?
Bonos-Girl
April 11th,2003, 08:40 AM
well Molly was very good to Harry...and lket him stay there and stuff. maybe they wuill build up a closer relationship in the next book and then she'll die and itll be really sad....

what, the movie? i no! i got it the day it came out! preordered, with a Tom Riddle diary!! woohoo! now i just gotta find that quill... maybe Tom will write back... lol lol
'My name is Harry Potter.'
'Hello, Harry Potter. My name is Tom Riddle.'
'Do you know anything about the Chamber of Secrets?'
'Yes.'
'Can you tell me?'
'No.'
'But I can show you.'
'Let me take you back fifty years ago...'
 as a matter o fact, the movie's right here in front of me...
i don't wanna see Harry, Ron, or Mione die, either, but it can't be a happy ending, and knowing JKR, it won't be. i mean, she KILLED Diggory. (i didn't like his dad.) i dunno...
Molly could possibly die.

my fave creature in HP is the Basilisk. the thought of a giant snake, and speaking parseltongue, is reely kewl. it'd be awesome if ppl could talk to snakes. 'Syasashi! Syasieth!' i can actually sound exactly like Harry and say that! it's awesome.

We do have to realize that we are all entitled to our own opinions. So if someone thinks that HP is the best book in the whole world then it is to them...that is the beauty of youth...we are blessed with innocence and constant learning! Plagiarisms is the largest trouble among most authors out there including some of our beloveds and we should not be so quick to lay judgement simply because we find simlarities within these books. So what!! If it's not enough to lay legal grounds and cause grand moral discontent, then I say...let the Authors deal with the integrity issues at hand!! We shoudl simply enjoy them as we see fit or ignore them in same said manner....I love you and I don't wish to offend...just take into consideration other peoples opinions....
Catz...I'll be a good girl and not swear too ok!!;)
Ronin
April 28th,2003, 11:47 AM
Now this may fly in the face of what has been talked about before, especially considering my opinions of late. however! i have utterly no problem with plagarism within books, as long as it is credited. such as HP with LOTR...and Sword of Truth with Wheel of Time. there shall always come a point where "fresh" ideas are just rehashes....just look at Shakespeare.
and what in the tartin' sauce is wrong with swearing?? ;)
Bonos-Girl
April 28th,2003, 06:22 PM
there is the theory that there are only 6 or summat (can't remember the actual number) stories anyway. every book is just a rehash of one of those plots with different characters and stuff but basically the same storyline.

It was, IMHO, different to the others, it kinda reminded me of some bits of fanfic in a way. I won't say any more - I don'tb want to soil it for those who haven't read it yet (this is a bit much from someone who immediatly flicked through to find out who died before reading it!)

I thought maybe the DADA teacher went a bit OTT - I found it kinda disturbing really
no one else has read it except here - everyone keeps telling me not to tell them what happened and then swamping me with all these wretched questions

what does OTT mean? i HATE the DADA teacher... grrr.... she was quite disturbing.
my dad hasn't read no. 3 yet, (he's a big fan too) and he told me to tell him who died, so then i told him, and he dunno what it means since the guy who died died!!!! quite frustrating.

I don't think she fancied Harry at all, at least not much... I think she hadn't recovered from the loss of Cedric and Harry was the last person who saw him alive, except Voldemort of course. I don't think she was evil - Hermione was right, Harry was really tactless and I think Cho was finding it difficult coming to terms with.
Though I do think going out with that Michael guy was evil. :pfbbt:

pages 710 amd 711. Actually you probably have a different book cos mine only goes up to 766 - it's the UK version.
Yeah I love Lupin too! do you think he'll replace the person who died in Harry's life? (trying to tell you what I mean but not giving away too many secrets hopefully! ;)) It would be great if he could cos he was one of James's friends.
Also I felt REALLY sorry for Snape - no wonder he hated James and Sirius! :( and I think it's tight of Harry to blame him for the-person-who-died's death. I have the same fave characters as Ereinion - I don't like the twins as much, tho they are really funny.

The third book was my favourite book too! Probably cos no Voldemort. pfbbt
Ireth - I think Ginny makes a comment at the end about being a chaser instead of seeker, naturally assuming Harry will be the seeker, so I am sure he's not banned for life, just for the 5th year of Hogwarts. :p hope so anyway!
BG - about Snape being misunderstood, I totally agree with you! I hope JK Rowling makes us feel more sorry for him in #6 - maybe he will turn out to be a major hero in the end! lol

Harry has to have it tough... he's Harry, and he's already proven what all he can stand up against. but still, he's only a young boy, after all... not even eighteen yet! and we'll only know what happens when he's seventeen!
in the seventh book, i think he'll defeat Voldemort, cuz evil CAN'T win, but i think Harry will not survive in one piece, mentally or physically. there will be something that hurts him beyond anything else, and J.K. has proven she isn't afraid to do someting like that, cuz she killed that one person...
my version has 870 pages. i thought they'd all have the same amount... guess not. and i also heard that in the UK they made some without a cover so adults reading it wouldn't be ashamed! but i don't see why adults would... my dad whos over 40 years old, reads it and isn't ashamed...
my fave characters are Fred and George, ofc!! Gred and Forge!! Yay!!
i like the book harry and the movie harry.... they;re both awesome!! (Daniel is awesome...)
Cho and Harry aren't my idea of a cute couple... Hermione/Harry, on the other hand... very nice! but i also like Ron/Hermione!
Ireth
June 25th,2003, 11:34 PM
well i think Dumbledore will end up being bad in the end......now dont come down on me just here me out....in the end of book #4 when Harry is telling Dumbledore that Voldemort has come back he says.......For a fleeting insant, Harry thought he saw a gleam of something like triumph in Dumbledore's eyes. But the next second, Harry was sure he imagined it....(CH.36 pg.696)
Now why would J.K. put that in if it didnt mean something? I think it is foreshadowing that Dumbledore's true colors will come out...all though it is hard to imagine..
I also have a slight feeling that Harry will die in the seventh book....but I am not sure...if he dosent I think Hermoine and Ron will marry and Harry and Luna Lovegood (sounds crazy I know) will marry....but those are just my opinions...;)

Well, I finished the book the night before last, and I'm still a bit sad. No spoilers here, but I'll advise you to have tissues near. If you're a sap like me, anyways.
I really liked the book, the change of mood (actually I think it came at the end of four) is rather alarming, but I like it all the better because of it.
I think Snape is one of the best charachtors in the book. A memory of his is expierienced in book 5............. I hope everyone finishes soon because I really want to talk about it!
EDIT: Oh! So we're discussing spoilers, then? Um, okay...
I really loved the hints about how Ron feels about Hermione (I really want them to be together, which is odd considering how much they fight  ), like when he gets jealous when she's writing to Viktor (whom I also like, but oh well) and he buying her perfume for Christmas. lol
I'm glad to see that Cho and Harry appear to be over, I'm not very fond of her...... I still support Harry and Ginny, especially since she became so much more defined in this book.
Regarding new characters: I hated Umbridge more than I thought possible, ick! Tonks is very cool, hope she plays bigger parts in the next books.
About the Weasleys: I knew Percy was going to do that! I wonder how he will treat his family (and vice versa) now that the ministry has clued in...... Fred and George were fantastic in this book, I guessed that they would make their last year a memorable one...... Ron is still one of my top favorates! I nearly cried when he was the Quidditch hero instead of Harry for once!
Oh, and Bill dating Fleur. lol "Private English lessons'' tee hee
*deep breath* Alright, I'm done. Kind of.

Narisunell
June 26th,2003, 05:38 AM
yea... perhaps someone should start a thread for only those who have finished the 5 book? (should i do that? anyone?)
Nessa- amen to your comment about Cho! i don't much like her either... some quotes from her to Harry about Cedric that made me dislike her a tad more...
"I thought," she said, tears spattering down onto the table. "I thought you'd u-u-understand! I need to talk about it! Surely you n-need to talk about it t-too! I mean, you saw it happen, d-didn't you?"
cheez! can't she see he doesn't wanna talk about Cedric's death?i imagine it must have been a nightmare just to have been reminded of that... poor Harry...
Umbridge, and i hate to say this, kinda made me like Voldie more. i like the bad guys more than i like Umbridge! its horrible!! she was freakishly scary...
I don't think Dumbledore was triumphant that Voldie had come back, per say, just that he would be able to prove to the Ministry he had come back, and the Ministry wouldn't think him a cracked old coot. (at least not AS MUCH of a cracked old coot ;) )
Nessa
June 26th,2003, 06:14 AM
I know what you mean about Umbridge, Nari, she was somehow worse than everything else so far. I think it was her falseness....... blegh...
I don't know about Dumbldore being evil by the end (I would be very dissapointed, I like him so much!), I can't really see how that would make sense, but JK has fooled me before. Many times. One new thing about Dumbledore, though, ((SPOILER)) I was completely taken off guard by his signs of weakness in OOTP. You know? Saying that he had made the mistake of never telling Harry about *that thing* (I'm still not sure about major spoilers! lol ) and so on. I guess I always thought of him as some flawless, steady, and powerful wizard who always seemed in perfect control of the situation...... Now whether this change has made me like the charachter more or less I'm not really sure. Hm.
Another question: Did anyone find themselves seriously pitying Snape? I've always liked him, and I was hoping to find out a bit about his past in this book, and I did..... and it wasn't really pleasant. Alright, so he's rather... grumpy... but in my mind she's been steadily redeeming himself since the end of Book 4, I wish there had been more about his role in the Order, though. Erm, any thoughts or am I alone on this one? lol
Narisunell
June 26th,2003, 06:21 AM
yes, i pitied him... those people *not mentioning spoilers here..* picking on him for no reason! harry was shocked, and i would be too had i discovered sumthin like that!
Dumbledore CAN"T be evil. he's the ONLY one Voldie ever feared!
Ireth
June 26th,2003, 06:53 AM

ok....i'm actually really surprised that people are agreeing with me about snape being misunderstood and having a reason for being so kinda horrible to Harry! lol noone in my class agrees...
i had forgotten about that dumbledore part.....
and i see what you mean that if harry doesn;t die he'll marry luna! she seems like a nice ( if not slightly weird) girl! lol lol but i think Rowling will kill of Harry...otherwise when the copyright rujns out someone will resurrect them and do like harry at university or something....like the did with the famous five...there are loads more written by random other people....

Dumbledor wasn't happy because You-know-who returned,he was happy because
"He said my blood would make him stronger...he said the protection my mother left in me - he'd have it too....And he was right - he could touch me without hurting himself,he touched my face"
There must be something involving the blood thing in the future....Maybe now Harry & Vold are more connected or something....Maybe now Vold can be killed :whoohoo: That's why Dumbledor was happy.....

Proud of his old student, maybe? lol Perhaps not..........
Anyway, I wanted to talk more about Ginny. I suppose I'll just prattle on about whatever! :p Ahem. So Ginny sort of grew from the quiet, Harry-enamoured little girl of books 1-3 to the slightly more conversational girl of book 4 and in OOTP seems like an entirely new person. She reminds me somewhat of her older brothers Fred and George (though obviously to a lesser degree), you know: more outspoken, daring (enough to join the Quidditch team and accompany Harry and the rest to London), etc. She even goes through two boyfriends! As much as I want her and Harry to end up together, I've been noticing how Neville treats her, didn't he get into trouble one time in book 5 because he wouldn't allow Ginny to be taken away?
Wow, now I'm carrying on about relationships when there are far more important things to wonder about........
Actually, I'm really dying to talk about the BIG event towards the end of book 5, but I'm not sure I should with all the confusion about spoilers...........

Harry and Luna together= *gagging smiley* i HOPE they don't end up together. Luna seems... ok... but still... there's sumthin about her... i think she'd get a tad annoying. Crumple Horned Snorkacks? sure.... just my oppinion.
Harry and Ginny would be cute! and i really hope Hermione and Ron get togther. i think they will, cuz Rowling was helping on the HP movies, how she thought it should look... and at the end of HP and the Chamber (movie), Ron and Hermione seemed a bit shy toward each other. cuz Hermoine hugged Harry in a friendly way, and then when it came to Ron... she seemed to blush... if you see where i'm going with this.
i think the 4 book was awesome! i think it was a good thing she made Cedric die. (well, not GOOD, but there was a reason for it, i think...) cuz then Harry got a chance with Cho, and it helped him get over his crush. plus Cedric dying gave Dumbeldore anothe reason to postpone telling Harry the full truth...
