Weeel, i'm not as new as some...and i'm newer than most... but i'm not so great when it comes to using this forum (i've messed up whole lot already...just ask Ronin and Illuvatar!) :-(

I was wondering if i could put my questions here when i have them and that maybe some of you would check up on this place once in a while to see if you could help? Thanx guys! :p

First question...is there anyway i can just put up a story and add to it bit by bit...or do i have to start a new thread with each new installement? veryhappy

Well there is a technical questions forum, I will add a general questions one for questions like this. :-)

You can certainly add to a story bit by bit, though others may think you want them to add to it as well. I would think you woud have to state at start of story that you dont want anyone to add to it.

Actually watch this space I may add a bit to the site which will let you manage your stories outside the forum, in a kind of database that everyone can see and comment on etc.

Oh yes and WELCOME :grin:

lol what a welcome, Beregond :) Well, as you can see I joined months ago, and have very few posts...but you just wait (muahahahahahaha)...and welcome to you!

Pil, as long as you let everyone know your story is coming in installments there shouldnt be a problem....*grins*...you'll probably end up with people nagging at you to get the next one up, waay faster than you can write em....go for it....
as for tellings off....*laughs* ive had my share...heheh you should ask Fatty about me....*grins* you can take some heat off me:p lol lol

OK...QUESTION!!!!!

Can someone tell me how to put pictures up as a post or summut. I have drawn up a map of the grey havens and it would b so cool if it could appear alongside my story... :cool:

I also have a v.amusing pic of my friend bernie dressed up as boromir. if i could put it up next to a picture of sean bean as boromir then i think i would be very successful in scaring a few boromir fans (tis v.lifelike!) :rofl:

Pil, send me your story in an email, along with the pics, I will put them up somewhere. Will be working on a fanfic section for the site over weekend, where you can store sotires etc. Will also do featured ones, and can add images to them. I dont want to allow images on the forum as it will slow it down when its gets bigger.

Kay! I will finish typing up what i have already of my legolas story and then i'll send:

a) that story
b) the map (thing) of the grey havens
c) some pics i have drawn of elves living in the grey havens
d) some other pics of female elf clothing...
