According to TORn she is going to be on the soundtrack of TTT. It isn't confirmed yet. I don't know if she can sing . Maybe it won't be so bad. I hope so:(

I think it'd be cool if she sung on the soundtrack, and not just 'cos I'm an Arwen lover.

not ofc that I've ever heard her sing... but *sheesh* if she does sing, it wouldn't be because she is a good singer

Can Liv sing?

Yeah, what did Liv Tyler ever do to you? Now I hope she does the whole soundtrack!
OK, I'm overstating things but just to show how irrational some of the initial responces were. :nono: That and I'm coming to dislike her name being bullied about so often. Hmmm... I'm not really sure why there's need to worry about this though - who is doing the soundtrack? Howard Shore!
Something tells me it could be that Liv Tyler will be doing the song at the ending credits, serving the same function as "May It Be". I'm sure Shore collaborated/ is collaborating oncemore with various artists for the TTT as he did for the FOTR score. Right now the soundtrack is the last thing I'm worrying about. :)

We'll just have to wait and see or hear. :)

I think she might do that sort of thing quite well actually. Her Elvish is impeccable.
P.S. I'm getting a little sick of the Liv bashing too. ;)

well, look, thats your opinion, im just sharing my own with you... i hope she doesn't sing.... and her elvish isnt impeccable, she says it monotonously like all the rest of her lines... tho i admit its better than cate's lol... her and her "erendil"

I should have been more specific, I meant that her pronunciation is quite good. I won't comment on her delivery because I'm in the "I like Liv" camp and I know that when it comes to her acting you either love her or hate her. She's kinda like Opera that way. lol
Sure not everybody is going to be happy with her, I've just seen some truly nasty things said elswhere that I thought was unnecessary. I wan't refering to anyone in particular.
*big kiss*

aw ok. i tend to read meanings in posts that no one ever intended... but if youre referring to nasty things on this site, im sure we'll develop another difference of opinion ;)
sure her pronunciation is great. better than viggos. and like i said, better than cates. its just.... yeah, you like it or you hate it, and you know which kind i am.
anyway, come on, no one can say she sings as well as enya does!
 ok... peace lol

Hmm that rises another question - why haven't we ever seen her singing then? With her father it'll be logical to have a couple of music shots... (correct me if we have heard her, I haven't followed her career, but I think I'm right)
And you cannot change Enya (I don't like her myself, but a marvellous voice she has) with someone, who just can sing, even if that someone is the one you're using to prove feminism, gather male looks or who knows what.

Tar-Ancalime: No, I didn't mean this site, I was thinking of another board that I used to spend a lot of time on. No worries. ;)
I don't know if she can sing or not, that would be my only worry really. I kind of picture he sounding airy and childlike, sort of baby Enya perhaps? Okay, it's definately bedtime, I have no idea what I'm talking about. lol

If she can sing well then I don't mind but a bad song/singing can really bring a film down.

Ooo, Arwen singing, that might not be bad. And I agree poor liv is bashed about to much, i mean what did sho do to people? that's just the point nothing!
Now, I would love to sing for something like LOTR, I'm not a singer but my mom was and i do love flooring the gas peddle on my voice, and i really do love expressing myself. and if liv sings i hope she does a good job!

i just hope that she can sing as i have never heard her sing before and thats the only thing that could ruin it. her singing has nothing to do with how good an actress she is at all.

Well, on the main page of this very site:
While nothing is confirmed as yet, ToRN is reporting that Emiliana Torrini will be singing the central theme for The Two Towers. It must be kept in mind that this is only a rumor, but a source for ToRN states that the contract was signed on Tuesday.
Emiliana Torrini has toured both with Moby and Sting. Explore her music at Ms. Torrini's official site, here.
Soooo, looks like they might have found another singer!

I don't think they would have her sing if she couldn't at least carry a tune... I'm sure she's fairly good... unless I'm mistaken...:o

Well, I don't know anything about LIz's singing, but it would be awesome if she could do duet with her father with Joe Perrry playing guitar. If she isn't that great, it wouldn't matter because we'd still get to hear Steven and his lovely voice could block her's out.

well somehow I can't imagine him singing a LotR song... but he has good voice for sure. I doubt this is going to happen anyway

I'm no Arwen-lover, but I'll have to say something that I truely think is obvious.
1) She's actually drop-dear beautiful, and like Orlando Bloom, is probably one of those few people who actually fit physically in the role of being Elves. I really mean it.
2) I don't know about her singing, maybe its good, maybe its bad, who knows?
Thats enough from me I guess.
