I just read in the latest People magazine that JK Rowling is going to release HP V this holiday season!! She also wants to take a repite from writing, that's why she is slowing down. She is also 5 months pregnant!

We're all waiting...but even though she supposedly has submited the manuscript, and is currently writing "happily" as stated, the dates from the publishers stands at a gap of the time between january and july next year. :( If you go to www.bloomsburymagazine.com, you all can sign up for news on the upcoming books. I did, so I'm done reading rumours. I just get fed up and disapointed anyways. :snooze: It takes as long as it takes, let it be good!

Yeah, I can wait too. I have to read the whole series again before the fifth comes out, so it's not like I'll be bored. I won't start them yet, 'cause I'm a pretty fast reader. I think I'll read LotR again and the Silm and the Hobbit. Do you think the book will be out by the time I read all of these? I hope so.

Just visited the Leaky Cauldron; they have a link to a BBC- interview with JK, where she says that she's only a few weeks away from submitting the book to Bloomsbury Publishing. From that point to releasing it might take...what? I'll be very surprised if its out on this side of newyears, allthough Bloomsbury probably would stress it if they could make it in time before everybody's done shopping for x-mas!

I saw that interview on Newsround (BBC). They'll be pushed for time if they wish to release before Christmas. I told my daughter I thought it would be six months before it was in the shops. But hey what do I know they may just do it. There have to be rewrites amendments proof-reading and a myriad of other things to do first.

I went the first weekend with the girls and thoughly enjoted it. I have to say that you should not expect it to be the same standard as LOTR but despite this it is a good film. It is also better than the first in my opinion. The children loved it.

Here are some rumors I have found regarding Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix:
~The 5th Potter book, order of the Phoenix, is supposedly much darker than the rest.
~Professor Lupin will return in number 5, as well as Mad-eye Moody.
~Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher will be female, possibly Fleur Delacour, or Mrs. Figg.
~One of Harry's "fans" will die, I'm guessing Collin Creevy or Ginny Weasely.
~Find out why Voldemort killed Harry's parents.
~Strictly Rumors: Sirius will be pardoned.
~Hermione will become a prefect (possible).
~Hermione will visit Viktor in Bulgaria.
~Order of the Phoenix is an Anti-Voldemort group.
~Mrs. Figg, who watched over Harry once in a while, is a witch and was actually protecting him.
~We find out about a protectoin placed on the Dursley's home to protect Harry from Voldemort.

I wonder how long I have to wait for the German Translation ... I just visted Amazon ... the "suggested retail price" is 16.99 Pound = 28 Euro .... but if you order it now you“ll get it for Euro 16,80. That“s a good Price I think (for a 768 pages Book)
Here is what they say on Amazon about the Book:
"The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive ... The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four."
Later in the novel, J.K. Rowling writes:
"Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses.
'It is time,' he said, 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry.
Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'"
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling, the fifth in the best-selling series, has been scheduled for release on Saturday 21st June, 2003 in Britain, the USA, Canada, Australia and in the English language in many countries, it was announced by the book's English language publishers, Bloomsbury and Scholastic, to whom it has now been delivered. The companies also announce that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is over one third longer than J.K. Rowling's extraordinary previous book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is over 255,000 words compared to over 191,000 words in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The new book is 38 chapters long, one more than Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, J.K. Rowling's fourth Harry Potter book, was released on 8th July, 2000 and was the fastest selling book in history on the first weekend of its publication. All four Harry Potter books, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, as well as Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, have been Number 1 bestsellers and are currently on bestseller lists in Britain, the USA, and around the world.
