I wasn't a big appreciator of them back when their music was popular. I just took it for granted as mainstream POP, like the Carpenters, but lately, I've been listening to the soundtrack of the Broadway show, "Mama Mia" and now I plan on going to see it at the theater when it comes to my city in a few months. I think having a new mode of delivery has refreshed it for me. Really looking forward to it!

I am a huge fan of ABBA when I am under the influence, and have been known to become a dancing queen whenever they play an abba songlol

You have to admit, whether you hate them or not, that they are a floor filler

I like ABBA, they're great!!

My little cousin likes them as well, and she made Dancing Queen my song. A few years ago (when I was seventeen), Dancing Queen was playing and we were bopping around when she suddenly turned to me as said 'You're seventeen, Your the Dancing Queen'.

So there you have it, Dancing Queen is my song.

I LOVE ABBA ... Mamma mia !!!!

I grew up with this group, my parents were huge fans and it brings so many memories...:whoohoo: :gaga:

Makes me want to sing too and, Catz, believe I am a very bad singer...probably the worst one you ever heard lol

My Swedish friend and I used to sing their songs when we were bored...and it is so fun to dance on...

One my favorites are"Eagle", "Voulez-vous" and "Gimme a man after midnight" ****Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight**** *starts to dance*:wiggle: :naughty:

If I get married one day the bride song will be Dancing Queen, my #1 favorite...

Well you, and dare I say it...... The A-Teens. When they redid. Dancing Queen younger teens heard it. Then people my age (25), and older. We told them about ABBA, and the fact that they did it first. I also think Ace of Base helped, but I'm not sure.

None the less you did bring it to the Forum.;)

Ooh! Ooh! ABBA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Hmm, which one should I sing? I do I do I do I do I do? Mamma Mia? Super Trouper? Take a Chance on Me? SOS? Oh, I know...
My my.. At Waterloo Napoleon did surrender. Oh yeah. Now I am meeting my destiny in quite a similar way. The history book on the shelf is always repeating itself... Waterloo, I was defeated you won the war. Waterloo, promise to love you forever more. Waterloo, couldn't escape if I wanted to. Waterloo, knowin' my fate is to be with you. Wa-wa-wa-wa-Waterloo, finally facin' my Waterloo... (not bad for a 'kid' who hasn't heard it in about a month!)

had an argument with my friend about abba... i was saying that the singer from linkin park could not write a decent set of lyrics to save his life and she said 'and abba can?' i went on to say that abba is an entire experience... it doesn't matter if their lyrics aren't the most profound words ever written because there swedish and the band as a whole is amazing. in other words their mere existance compensates for their lyrics.
she rebuted with ' they write about dancing queens! linkin park writes songs that are deeper"
i sighed and calmly said (when i say calmly i mean rather loudly) linkin park is trying to be profound in their lyrics and they are failing miserabley...he just sounds like a jerk when he's trying to be deep... abba admits they can't write anything profound and don't bother trying... "
the conversation continued into lunch... neither o us could convince the other so we dropped it... it was good fun though

Who can dislike this song? I also grew up with ABBA, but they were pushed aside by other groups when I got older. Now they're kinda having a rennaisance, which is great, they just made good music! Go ABBA!
