John Carpenter's The Thing

What did you think of this flick? I loved it, it was awesome. This has to be one of my favorite sci-fi movies of all time.

Yup... i have... and i quite enjoyed it... tho it got a bit...over the top in parts. IMHO, the original version is so much better. A classic early B+W horror... which employs dramatic tenson much more effectively than the Carpenter version.

I like the original too, but I love his version better due to the fact that is was closer to Howard hawks original story.

Loved it...but then again, enjoy most of Carpenter's work...so perhaps i am a lil' biased ;)
