Which was your favorite and why? Mine has to be Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country because of the awesome ship fight at the end of the film. If the one you like isn't up in the poll just post it, the max is 5 for some reason.

Forgot a few :) Anyway ST:2 (Wrath of Khan) you're looking at a BIG TREKKER (not Trekkie Trekker)

I gotta say First Contact. I also like Wrath of Kahn, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country, and Insurrection, but seeing as how I like the Next Gen crew a little better than the original crew, and the Borg are by far my favoirte ST enemy (until Voyager ruined them... :( ), First Contact really stands out.
As for the poll though, my favorite of those five is Voyage Home, with The Wrath of Kahn coming in as a close second.

Love all the ST movies, even with their faults...but for my money, The Wrath of Khan has remained the ultimate classic out of all of them. i mean...above all else, its Ricardo Montalban!!

Of the ones in the Poll I voted for The Voyage Home. I just love the whole saving of a species (whales) thing. It's just too cute.

Got a real soft spot for the original Star Trek films...and cast... but i LOVED First Contact. Just the whole plot line. Ok.. it was a bit corny... but i liked it.
Really looking forward to Nemesis.
:elfeek: Ricardo Montalban?? My mate keeps going on about his chest in that movie... goodness knows why:naughty: lol lol
Ronin
November 1st,2002, 05:17 PM
his chest?? :elfeek: naughty thing!! and strictly from a male perspective...not the greatest chest in the world either...:naughty: ;) lol
First Contact...was...eh, ok. great way dealing with the Borg...but a lot of the major details really just failed for me. i'd prefer the older ones...but i'm definitely hoping Nemesis returns to form

Oh hush u;) lol .... I did say it was a mate of mine who goes on about his chest... but then .. she finds Chuck Heston attractive:o lol . .. Well... i bow to your superior knowledge of the male chest;)not sure if i want to know HOW u have that knowledge tho.....LOL ... but i thought it was pretty ok for an old guy;) lol
First Contact wasn't at all challenging...chewing gum for the brain... but I love watching it. Ro... sometimes you just gotta stop that brain of yours analysing.... and just go with it.;) lol lol

i am a very intelligent boy, sometimes i can just think things up...without having personal experience...such as with...male chests ;) :naughty:
ok for an old guy...well, granted
and as for over-analysing...well, sometimes i just gotta ;)
Catz
November 4th,2002, 02:39 AM
so how would you define the greatest chest in the world then, Ronin, just as a totally off topic matter of interest? lol from your undoubtedly masculine perspective love?
and please dont say a sack of melons like Schwartzeneggar....ugggghhhh the man has bigger breasts than many women
nor anyone who can comb thier chests eeeeewwww
lol lol roflmao lol lol

oh? oh! first contact would have to be mine..

TWOK...the best acronym i've ever heard...just like saying it..."TWOK!"
Catz
November 8th,2002, 10:07 PM
yes dear *pats Ronin on the head* lol
heheheh Harry Kim....the Flying Dutchman of ST universe promotions.....hell even yeoman Rand got a promotion;) lol roflmao lol
cant say as ive ever been all that keen on the Next Generation crew.....there is of course the bad taste left by Wesley"boy genius" Crusher....but aside from that, Riker, who always irritated the hell out of me lol but thats just personal taste....
i wish tho, that theyd made a film series from DS9....the best of the ST franchise by far IMHO.....dark, gritty...unpredictable....heheheh not really like ST at all:rolleyes: lol roflmao lol
:catz:
Ronin
November 8th,2002, 11:50 PM
why thank u...that makes me happy
The Next Gen crew...ech, they were always a guilty pleasure...yet, even the pleasure has waned over the few years lol Riker...i've always liked the guy...had that sort of coy humour that he never let fully develop which i enjoyed.
HAVE to agree those, best series...by far...is DS9...which desperately needs a movie, but, perhaps keeping it from the big screen keeps some mystique about it....screw it, i'd still like to see it on screen
Catz
November 9th,2002, 12:23 AM
what? getting patted or Harry not getting a promo???? lol
ach not Riker!!! nor mr broomstick you know where, and chipmunk cheeks!!! and an authority figure to boot!!! ahhh im disappointed in you Ronin;) lol
and yeah....i dont know if its better to not have a movie of DS9, than to have a bad one.....but those characters and story arcs just cry out for the big screen treatment....its the old dilemma isnt it...lol
:catz:
Ronin
November 9th,2002, 05:47 PM
hmmm...it might be either ;) lol
Chipmunk cheeks!! whats not to like about chipmunk cheeks!? they're so pinchable ;)
heh...it is that, would we rather see it on the screen, with the possibility of it absolutely tanking...or keep it within the priceless realms of our minds. of course, i think we had the same diliemma with another certain franchise...didn't we? lol
Catz
November 9th,2002, 10:28 PM
ahhh well in THAT case......*pats him on the head again* lol
hmmmmm *imagines pinching Rikers cheeks.......either ones * :elfeek: :o lol
nah...............just cant see it myself..........but go ahead if you feel the need :naughty: ;) lol
ahhhh its the eternal dilemma......and not every story is lucky enough to have a PJ at the helm....but i think overall i like to see filmmakers try............if they fail, they fail......the source material is still there, and another person can try next time........and if they succeed........it can be magnificent:thumbs:

hey now kitty, watch those hands missy ;) lol
and true enough, not every fanbase has Peter Jackson to fulfill their deepest fantasies...well...the ones that can be told out loud ;)
lol...try try and try again
Catz
November 13th,2002, 03:20 AM
hey....its not that hands you have to watch......;)just the claws
and yeah we were lucky with PJ....very lucky......and as for those "other" fantasies.....Bakshi would be a better bet lol ever see "Fritz the Cat"?
i dunno who id want to see doing DS9 if it ever got done.....
:catz:
Ronin
November 13th,2002, 04:01 PM
lol...i loved Fritz the Cat
and btw, we have seen Bakshi try is hand at true fantasy...good, but not great ;)
Catz
November 15th,2002, 03:10 AM
heheh "Fritz" hunh? ;) lol
dya mean wizards or LOTR?....and id agree there...good but not great....tho with flashes of brilliance....just before his time i think, Ralph Bakshi.....
:catz:
Ilmarė
November 15th,2002, 09:40 AM
"Fritz"... is that a verb?;) lol
Ronin
November 16th,2002, 04:02 PM
hmmm...i think so lol
Bakshi....ah, i think u're right there...flashes of brilliance, just far too few of them
Ilmarė
November 16th,2002, 04:08 PM
lol Would love to read a dictionary definition of it!lol
Catz
November 19th,2002, 09:33 AM
"Fritz the Cat" is a movie....a groundbreaker in the field of animation...tho ill leave it to Ronin to explain why if anyone needs to know lol lol ;) particularly if you treat it as a verb!! :elfeek: lol
but it was by Ralph Bakshi, who produced the animated LOTR
i just wonder what hed do these days, now that the tech is so much better.....
:catz:
Ilmarė
November 19th,2002, 09:43 AM
 would be interesting to see what Bakshi could do... might stop him whining for a while.lol
lol If they don't know what Frtiz means as a verb... they don't need to know;) lol
Ronin
November 27th,2002, 03:18 AM
Fritz the Cat is absolutely brilliant!! love that film!! ;) hehe...though any film with a caotic cat is pretty fine in my book
Catz
November 27th,2002, 04:54 AM
theres that word "chaotic" again.......hmmmmm ;) and all catz are chaotic......its a part of our charm;):naughty: ;)
ahhh well ......back to the topic.......i believe i was dissing dear old chipmunk cheeks himself, Riker ;) :p lol
:catz:
Ilmarė
November 27th,2002, 08:21 PM
:elfeek: well... anything with a cat in it HAS to spell chaos, doesn't it? ;) lol lol ... tho' that doesn't necessarily make it charming.
I liked Riker... he had a devil-may-care attitude... was a bit of a ladies man.. and had a nicely understated humour. Never thought he had chipmunk cheeks tho.
Catz
November 27th,2002, 08:53 PM
devil may care........???..........Riker........???......... ......well...........he did ummmm.............he did.........errrrrr............ahhhh he DID grow a beard on active duty!!!! ;) :p lol such a rebel:rolleyes: lol roflmao lol
still i guess hes better than mr "i am emoting.....yeah really " Beltran in Voyager.............the man was less expressive than a vulcan, and showed slightly more animation than a lump of wood:rolleyes: lol lol
and of course catz are charming ;)we have the ideal combination of cute and claws........the iron claw in the velvet paw lol lol......its cute, but with back up ;) lol lol
:catz:

November 27th,2002, 09:07 PM
 lol ok.. ok... i was trying to be as positive about the guy as possible... but i did like him. I got his humour. What can i say? I like ... interesting peoplelol ..WHO said he was a rebel???
Beltran?... think i shut him in a lift door once at a convention... best thing i did all weekend;) lol lol roflmao lol
lol I was talking about cats not catz... *looks at her velvety paw*...lol .. yeah, really cute lol :p lol
