A quick quiz to see who pays attension. It's a bit tricky, so listen carefully...
Q: How many poems are in the LOTR?
Hint: pay attension to the word 'poem.'

Athelas..........is not a song
At Theoden's Death..........is not a song, but I would not call it a poem
Boromir's Riddle..........is not a song, and it rhymes ;)
Call-to-Arms of the Rohirrim........is not a song, but I would not call it a poem
The Fall of Gil-Gilad............is a poem

Not trying to be picky or anything, Tar-A, but
Quote:
"Boromir's Riddle..........is not a song, and it rhymes "
If you've heard the BBC radio version of LOTR (with ian holm as frodo, that version) then the riddle is sang...
You DO mean the one that starts 'seek for the sword that was broken' don't you? Soz, I have no books with me at the moment.
