I know it isn't out yet but I'm part of the student cinema and we showed a preview. I would like to say although the trailor looks good. It's really slow paced! I got bored very quickly :snooze: of course this doesn't mean it will bore you but when discussed the general Consensus was that it was too slow and could have had a lot cut out. Just thought I would warn you now.

:elfeek: I saw part of the trailer yesterday when i saw 'My big fat greek wedding'...it looked really exciting...plus it has a particular gorgeous guy in it...not mentioning any names...but ben affleck comes to mind...:loveyou:...
Am i right in saying...*clears throat*...he crashes his car...leaves behind some sort of document folder......and the black guy takes it...then the ben affleck dude cuts off the black guy's bank account in order to pursuade him to give up the folder...and they have this big psychological fight going on...? All this from a few seconds of trailer...It maybe however...and most likely...that i got completely confused... lol
Maybe a slow film would do me fine! roflmao

nope you got it! and it gets really dull. I spent the whole time thinking ' the only good thing about this movie is ben afflecks eyes!'
they could use the trailor to tell the whole story andyou'll know exactly how it will end. It lacks tension and emotion for the characters.

I actually liked Changing Lanes, just because of the tension... helps me relieve my own.
Is Affleck's eyes really that nice? I wasn't looking lol

I liked it alright, didn't find it slow at all!
I DETEST Ben Affleck, but Samuel Jackson had a pretty good performance, I liked the way it turned out. Not an award winner, but decent enough for me. ;)

actually, i thought Changing Lanes was one of the better films of the early movie season...true, it was very slow...but i thought it served well to creat a delicious dose of decent (like the illiteration ) dramatic tension - which is sadly lacking in films today. overall, the movie failed...but essentially had the right idea and some pretty good performances by its leads.

Most people I spoke to didn't like it....I didn't notice any tension just an annoying need to see whwther this guy had any courage. The whole family thing was rather amusing I quite liked him at the end but not when he was stressing. but pil his eyes are nummy

Well, most people have horrible taste  ;)
i thought tension was decently accomplished, if plodding in parts...and the ending, u're right...loved the irony there. rich with it

for you hon?
Stunning!!!......... lol
ok....well.......saw it .........liked it:cool:
hey its not gonna set the world on fire, but i thought it was a nice little morality tale with a millenial twist...and i actually felt that most of the tension build up was with Jacksons character...and when hed realise that it didnt matter who was right or wrong......just who stopped it....
yeah the first third to half was abominably paced, and they should shoot thier publicist.......lol this movie is being pitched as a thriller, when its really a character study.....but overall i liked it....tho maybe thats just to do with the resonance of the themes to things that ive had in my life recently;)
but the leads were appealing and the ending was satisfying

I didn't really like it. It did make you think about what's important and what's not, but it felt as if you already knew all of that. It was ok.. but it was a bit boring. Too predictable.

oh hush u!! lol
glad u saw it kitty, always love to hear what u think. and actually...same enough thoughts i guess, saw that it was more of a character study than what it was purported to be after the first few minutes...so settled in for more of a slow paced ride than the typical thriller. enjoyed the climax...immensely, didn't find it predictable at all.

mmm im glad i saw it too.......the last half/two thirds was very good...just that first bit that dragged badly........and i loved that theme of revenge and how it hurts EVERYTHING........that was very cool........and i wouldnt have called the ending predictable......there were a lot of paths that character COULD have feasibly taken.....actually both of them........but this is a small movie.......not the hyped up thing the publicity would have you believe

yeah, it was pretty...love the inventions it took, if a little plodding...nice to see some reality in there as well...if a little harsh, and maybe a little too real ;)
