Here is a little poem i wrote up. You mighht say that it is my take on the missing part of the fall of gil galad, but i didnt write it for that. Its not that good... here goes nothing...
Gil-galad went into the dark
where joy and happiness were stark
He went into the dreaded land
far away from any healing hand
Throught the ranks of Orcs he fought
and victory was dearly bought
For many of his elves had died
and greater still were the number who cried
Sauron fell at his hand
And Gil-galad fell to the land
Never to grace the world with mirth
Thus he left Middle Earth
Gil-galad went into the dark
where joy and happiness were stark
He went into the dreaded land
far away from any healing hand
Throught the ranks of Orcs he fought
and victory was dearly bought
For many of his elves had died
and greater still were the number who cried
Sauron fell at his hand
And Gil-galad fell to the land
Never to grace the world with mirth
Thus he left Middle Earth
