i just see balrogs as trolls that were careless with their lighters. :)
yeah they may have been a step down on the power chain but it doesn't mean they weren't as powerful in terms of battle, they may be immortal spirits but could they kick as mush *** as a dragon? i don't think so. :p

Well sorry to interupt you, but I don't remember Tolkien writing for troll pants, tho I guess you can make a good discussion on this in Humour ;)

lol I'm moving this in Humour.. it's where it belongs IMO
Well it does say pocket  but it might be just overlooked... or as its a children's book Tolkien didn't want to explain troll's strange ways of carrying cash and went with pockets... who knows?

For Pete's sake! I didn't know these crumb cakes would be so popular! I'll send out for more right away! So, fill me in...do we perfer one critter over the other or is this simply an I adore Balrogs thread? I wish to express the appropriate sentiments towards the appropriate creature of distruction! If what is insinuated about flaming troll breeches is true, I want to stand clear of that wardrobe!! So what's the thesis in the thorough faire!?;)

Excuse me, the only good Balrog is a drowned one, and as for trolls, let the sunshine turn them into stone. BUT! Anyone touches a Dragon, so much as a scale on its head........................its pow! right in the kisser:dragon:
So therepfbbt

Well, we can see where Moraneah stands in this issue! (hands her a napkin for her raspberry dribble) I see it's one of those threads where we favor one creature over another. That being said, I am for the Trolls! They are super fascinating as well as cute in a lumbering awkward and carnivorous way....Blast the sun! I adore my summer tanning but beware the wicked flashers...of dangerous sunlight upon my troll friends....;)

Er, thanks Lin, so you like trolls, maybe you won't feel so benevolent, if they eat your entire family. (Then again, maybe, you will be more fond).;) :p

Do they have any preference for little sisters?;)
Moraneah
November 25th,2002, 05:10 AM
Those could be the ones they eat first...or is it big brothers????:naughty: :naughty:
Lintefaniel
November 26th,2002, 08:29 AM
I would offer the smaller of the two first, to maintain propriety!! Appetizers first....main courses second! Perhaps we could find some thing to compensate for the dinner salad?
Lady Melody
November 27th,2002, 01:48 AM
go for the big brothers first, the little sisters' meat are more tender... so better get the lousy parts over it first
Lintefaniel
November 29th,2002, 08:32 AM
Yes, but if your lucky the little sisters won't be missed!! Actually, if he doesn't eat the brother first he could be in for a rude awakening if the brother devised ways to defeat the silly lizard.....Chibi you may be right! :)
