Hullo,
I just wanted some of your opinion on LotR franchise...you know...trading cards, board games, candies, mugs, things of that sort.
I receive my monthly LotR fanclub magazine and they advertise many merchandise that are (pls refrain from stoning me) ...IRRELEVENT to the movie and/or book. Don't get me wrong..I LOVE posters, bookmarks, books and etc. but some of the things that they are selling is a bit ludicrous.
Sometimes I think whoever is in charge of all this is isn't concerned about its' fans but rather taking an advantage on us die-hard fans to milk some more money off us adding to the already millions..wait..billions of dollars. Am I the only who feels this way or has any of you felt this way before?
I mean I love seeing so many products relating to LotR but too much is too much don't you think? It doesn't become an "intimate" thing between us fans and the book/movie itself. At least that's how I see it.
I'd love to hear from you guys. :evilcool:
