:grin: Got my Collectors Edition extended version dvd yesterday!!!!!! The Argonath bookends are stunning. Actually... the whole thing is stunning to look at... just beautifully packaged. Just waiting for my home cinema package to arrive on Tuesday and we're all set:hooray: :hooray: :hooray:

I finally found a friend that is obsessed with LOTR and we talked about it for an entire hour today at school! I'm sooo happy! And yay! I gave the spiderman DVD I won over the internet to my local Shopko and got 20 dollars for it! I will surely spend it on the extended DVD tomorrow! YESSSS

Does anyone have a good idea of the price range for the extended DVD (not the gift set)? I've heard from 25 all the way to 40. :o

Nessa, I have seen the Extended DVD priced From $25 for just the 4 disks, to $70 for the Boxed set.... I personally think I'll just go for the 4 Disk set. Even thou I really want the Boxed set. I just can't see parting with $70...:) ........ Oh, just incase your looking for a good deal and you live in California... I saw in a Best Buys ad. From this Sundays Paper... There selling the Boxed Edition for $50, so if you've got a Best Buys store near you, check it out.

Twenty five isn't so bad... (I'm sure I can convince my parents to part with that much), but seventy! Even fifty, ouch! Its just not going to happen.

Its getting late in this part of the world..... luckily I won't have to think about it much tomorrow, I'll have school to occupy me. And who knows, when I get home..I just may be in for a surprise.

I understand what your saying.... $70 is too much for me also, but $50 isn't... I'm still not certain, but as I've said before I'll probably get the 4 disk set. $25 is still easier for me than $50...:)

From here you can get the Collectors Edition for $59.94 instead of the $79.00 price, and the Platinum is only $25 and Regular Editions is cheaper as well! :p

I think I will use my $20 on the boxed set and convince my parents to pay for the rest. She was at frist going to buy the entire $30 4 disc DVD set by herself, so it will be like she was not buying the more expensive one at all! lol
