The only font I can get to have work is Tengwar Cursive.
I have been trying various other fonts but can't get any other font to work. I wanna make sure that I'm writing out my name correctly in Elvish...
This is all new to me, and a 'lil over my head (I stumbled on this site accedently) and WOW! You all seem nice and I'm looking foward to hopefully learning to speak and wrtie elvish (though I dunno where to start)
But right now, how can I get more opther fonts to work, and am I using the correct font? To correctly translate my name, do I gotta figure out the spoken version, then I can write it in Elvish???? <head explodes>
(yes, it's also 11:47pm so I'm a LITTLE tired)

well....yes we are all nice people here.....so i'll help!!
firstly the alphabet on your keyboard will not necessarily be the same as the one in the tengwar font because there are more letters...there should be a guide on the site you downloaded it from to tell you which keys produse which letters....
i don't know why none of the other fonts work...are you installing them correctly?
to start to learn quenya there is a site....it's probably in the links section of this site....if not search on google and it should come up....good luck!!

I dunno... I assume I'm installing the correctly.
I extracted the Tengwar Cursive from the .zip file into the Font Folder.... And I did that with all my other fonts but the don't come up in the font list.
Grr.... I'd like to be able to use Elvish and Dwafish language on my computer..... :P
Thanks, When I get a break from this project I'm doing for school. I'll check out the sites!

where are you saving them to when youre unzipping them? what i mean is, are you sure theyre saving to your fonts folder?they could be elsewhere on your system and youll have to manually move them to your fonts folder.
Have you done a search to see if they are in fact on your system? if not id suggest doing that first off...then if they are there you can just move em
the other thing is, how many fonts does your system allow you to store? you may just have reached your limit, especially if one font worked but the rest didnt.....would i be right in thinking that the Tengwar cursive that worked was the first one you downloaded?....check that:cool:

I save the .zip files to "My Documents" and then I uninstall the fons to the "My Fonts" folder
