View Full Version : Phone Booth

This is the movie based around a phone box for the entire film. I man (Colin Farrell) uses the booth cause his girlfriend checks his mobile phone called number (i think) and it rings. On the other end is a sniper (Kiefer Sutherland) who says if he leaves the box he will be shot. Once proved he is not bluffing the entire film is shot round this one guy. Plus the whole film was filmed in 10 days for little over 2 million dollars or something.
Sounds good. I haven't seen it but it is coming out in the States shortly since it has been delayed due to the real seriel sniper incidents. Should be a very suspensful experience. Check out its profile here: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0183649

Yeah, that sounds quite special! And Keifer has both, looks and skills! I'm a little short on remebering new names, can't seem to remember which film I've seen Colin Farell in, jogging my mind like...! Any help out there? Low budget movies often prove to be great, hope to see it up here soon!

yeah Sutherland was great in the lost boys............hes matured as an actor tho......he was wonderful in that miniseries 24, not that i managed to catch all of them, but what i saw was great...........and its uncanny how much like his father he looks...more and more as he gets older....
and no worries Cuiel....i have a REALLY big delete button..........and a trout, and a whip :trout: :fanboy: ;) just in case our lil petal Ronin gets out of hand lol lol

 Doesn't he just?? He has definitely matured tho... and is underrated IMHO. 24 was a really excellent showcase for him.

Does anyone know if they'll bring 24 out on DVD, as I've been trying to follow it, but have missed the last couple (we're that far behind everywhere!) and also we get really bad tv reception because we are surrounded by great big gum trees, and so everyone has 2 noses, really bad teeth, and you can't make out what/who people are shooting atlol So I'd like to be able to watch it with a decent picture.
But yeh, Keither Sutherland is great, and I suppose he does look like his dad, but not as smarmy, I think:thumbs:

hey now!! *puts hands on hips rather firmly*...now theres no need for such threats...put down the trout kitty...and the whip!!
ah, what the hey...not like they did any good in the past eh? bring it all!! :evilcool: lol ;)
Daisy, they've already brought out 24 on DVD...but entirely unsure whether or not that includes the Australian market. i would imagine so, but'll check if u like.
so glad u guys got a chance to check out 24...one of the best new series thats been out in a while. kitty, if u get the chance...check out all of the episodes...u may see glimpses of why its the best...but after all of them, u'll know why. the new season has started in the States....and its dern good!
Keiffer calls this his second chance...sounds like a great, humble guy...really deserving of everything

well Sutherlands been there hasnt he? at the top and at the bottom.......he KNOWS how fickle the movie business is.......a lot of people thought hed fallen very low to appear in a TV series, but i think it was the best career move the boy has made in years.....and good on him:thumbs:
and i would like to watch the whole thing.......*sighs* now all i have to do is hope they either replay it, or someone i know gets the DVD release...

Yeah completely agree. He was given a real roasting for doing a tv series.. but it has been the best move he has made in years. Can only hope his career goes from strength to strength:thumbs:

Now why doesn't that come as a surprise to me?!!!lol You might take advantage of it when your hard-disc gets too full though...on the other hand you probably have unlimited memory! Which sadly wasn't part of my equipment, or of other people's, so I gather. You seem to have the gear in order otherwise, Catz, so guess we don't have to worry about you! Be careful now...

That's called selective memory..I have that as well! (What
does this woman remember, you might ask!)
The last episode of 24 is on monday, but I hear rumours that another series is in progress? Has anyone heard that, or is it all lies?

November 23rd,2002, 10:45 PM

One can never know when it comes to Norwegian networks, but the ratings has been good here to. How long the wait will be- well you know sometimes they just delay the release to make us watch some old junk. Jeez this dictionary of mine is outdated I'd better wish for a new one this x-mas!

December 1st,2002, 04:04 PM
well it is kind of unfair to compare seasons one and two of this one in particular since the first season was so fresh and new, with the unique format and all........it isnt really something that lends itsel to repetition..........but i gues ill see when it gets here

Even though it was very good, I don't really know if I can manage to sit through another 24 episodes. I get kinda crazy when I find myself hooked on a series, tend to wanna unattach myself...! :brave:

December 22nd,2002, 10:57 PM
yeah......it is *ducks* lol
mmmm well without the unique edge of the "new" format itll have to compete on level pegging with other TV dramas.......shouldnt really be too hard to shine i dont think.......but well see i guess
