Enjoy the special features. I've only seen From Book to Script and Digital Grading myself, but they were both very good. They thoroughly explained the subject without going into information overload.

And be sure to at least watch the Council of Elrond spoof! roflmao

I got it yesterday too. but since I only got chance to put my tele on at 10pm, I didn't bother putting the film on as I knew I wouldn't have gotten up for work this morning. So I only watched the first hour of the 1st appendix. But tonight, I'm gonna watch the whole thing (at least I don't have rowing on a sat morning anymore so I can get a lie in!):thumbs: and then I'll let you all know what I thought:grin:

I got the DVD two days ago. I watched the first CD that night. Then I was going to watch the second yesterday, but my TV blew up (sort of). So now my TV is broken and I can't watch the DVD. :( Isn't that ironic? I can't afford a new TV right now either, and the one I had is so old that it won't be worth it to fix it. So I'll have to wait a bit more I guess. *sigh* mecry

I got mine finally. :)
The dumb store was late getting their shipment, but thats OK because then they gave me a discount. I got the Gift version. Haven't watched it yet. I plan on watching all the other features first. Is that a bad idea?
The things I was impressed with so far are, the sample trading cards - what excellent quality and beauty they are - and the quote by PJ in the little magazine about how he understood the importance of the gift giving scene to setting up actions in the TT and ROTK movies. He had to bargain with New Line to get that into the SE and out to us before TTT came out. That was one of my major irritants from last year, so I'm glad he wasn't just blowing it off without some guilt.
A little extra I hadn't expected was a coupon to see The Two Towers FREE!

Penguin, why was yours so much? Are Australian dollars worth less than American dollars? I got the same thing for $55 with the discount, and additionally, the free ticket worth up to $10.

Edit: YES! I looked it up on a currency exchange site. Aust. dollars are worth 56 cents of an American dollar. So the pricing was adjusted.

$119.00 in Aussie money = $67.00 in American
so since they advertized here for $79. with some sales going on for $69. for the gift set, that's pretty reasonable.

I got my Collectors Edititon today. Now tht it's here thou, and I've waited so long to watch it again. I've kind of got stage fright..... I'm not sure if I should watch it yet? I'ts weird, I know I shouldn't worry about it, so I wont. I mean I've got all the time in the world, it's mine after all. I was kind of like Adunauriel when I got mine. I actually put off watching it for three days because I couldn't bear spoiling the anticipation.
I still haven't seen everything there is to see yet, but the actors and director's commentarys were so good! The latest tidbit I find to be fun is the film editing process of Elrond's Council scene on disc 4.

I loved it...... The movie absolutely fabulous...... Then I checked out the secret TTT trailer, coolest thing ever. I actually think that was playing when I went and saw the Movie in the theater...... I also checked out the Appendices disk 2. The editing of the Council of Elrond, totally cool...... I've been waiting eagerly ever since my beloved told me that I was getting the Collector's set for my birthday!!!!

Well, last night, there I sat editing Algamesh's page, and Lady Arien was having fun because I didn't notice that she had set it right behind me! lol

Now I get to spend my holiday weekend exploring all the secrets and special features!! Me so happy!!!!

Plus, she even said she's gonna make a special place on our bookshelf for my Argonath dudes!!!

Do I have a special lady or what!!! ;)
