Gandalf

Maiar of old, wizard grey,
You travel paths of darkness
By night
And by day.

Misfortune follows in your footsteps;
Imprisonment brings despair.
Evil lurks ever near;
Painstaking searches remain fruitless.

Friends will betray you,
And into darkness you shall fall.
But, traveling onward, warnings ignored,
Seeking only the light and the good.

The Nine seek you end;
The White your deception;
Hobbits your protection.
How shall you choose?

Nine years you have searched,
And the questions have been answered.
One last test to perform,
But the answer is already known.

Nine companions seek an end
To the evil that plagues Middle-earth.
They will stand or fall;
Your fate lies with them.
