I would ask that if they were what part they would have liked to play besides their own. And if they would do it all over again-injuries and all.

I would have to say, Sir Ian. He's immensely creative. But I would want to know just how itchy it is wearing that beard and wig!?;)

I'd like to ask Legolas how does he feels about being the object of various targeting girls (and sometimes men), and their undoubtfully 'creative' fanfics... and comments about him.

Indeed you are correct Chibi, I would want to know that about all of the actors in that position...

*raises her eyebrows at Lintefaniel* hehehehehe was that a deliberate pun on words? 'in that position', in regard to fan interest in them and fanfics (rather than on that position). ;)
And in your earlier post did you mean Sir Ian M (given you said beard) and not Sir Ian H. Sorry I just love it that they have two Sir Ian's on the set. Hey that could be a trivial question: was there any occasion during the filming where someone walked in and called, 'Sir Ian!' and both looked up and said, "Yes?"?

Fatty, i hope you read this. My question for him is did he ever visit any of the LOTR sites..that so many threads for his charater and himself. This is for Orlando

well, this isn't a thread fatty will read, but i can answer you, i think. orli doesn't like computers, he's a technophobe. so the answer would most likely be no.
btw, fattys already interviewed the cast, hes posted a few articles about it. you might check out the main page to see whats up with him :)

OH dear! I did say that didn't I? I am sorely mortified! Well maybe a little anyhow. I did mean to say in regards to fan fics and "fanatics". But you raise an interesting point! But for another topioc I am sure...
I found the off camera relationship between the two Ians was terribly amusing. Sir Ian M tells a story on his website (in his Grey Journal) about a press junket where Ian H was being asked a similar question again and again. At one point it became so redundant that he simply began making up an elaborate farse! To which Ian M found himself giggling so much he had to remove himself from the table. I laughed so much my sides ached...lol lol....roflmao

I'm sorry Lintefaniel but it just made me giggle. I know what you really meant :) ...just my warped my mind picking things up that aren't literal ;) Its a question I'd like to know the answer to though (the question you meant, that is, not the question from the perspective I was having fun with). I wonder sometimes if they know the impact they've had and how much stuff about them (personally and professionally) and the movies is on the web (let alone the fanfics and stuff like that). Its really quite mind-boggling :elfeek:

It seems from my perspective (as a fan and performer) that it would be an admirable as well as an unpleasant place to be sometimes. On one hand, you can do what you love to do, make money doing it, be "famous", and meet people you wouldn't ordinarily get the chance to know. Not to mention the chances one might have to make a sizable difference in the world not so easily made outside of that "position". But on the other hand, somewhere in all of the joy and passion felt while the art of performance is being created, the true persons can be lost. Somehow despite all attempts at anonymity, lives are often replaced with uncomfortable resolutions that please the fans before the self. I think it takes a strong personality to be able to go into performing as a professional movie star or a musician. Collectively, we "fans" may never know what it is like to have swarms of giggling teenagers or frenzied mobs of fanatic followers bellowing in on our most base emotions and desires. Subsequently it would take a strong companion for that personality. It's no wonder marriages last only months let alone years, weeks or even days. As a professional performer of any kind (even the "wrestlers" ;) ) all individual privacy is lost and very seldom does that not affect the marriage or family. If the lines of public and private are so thin simply because of their station in life, then it is a sad thing if we cannot respect or remember that they are no more different then us in their quest for that inevitable 'holy grail'. Theirs is simply done on a more grand or global scale.
One could also ask if any of them actually deserve the adulation and obsessive behavior that can develop over their fame, fortune, and looks? When does open admiration cross the line to unhealthy obsession? Were they not visable around the world would the fan base be so extensive? What does one have to do besides be pretty to get noticed? And lastly, would half of them be as popular if they were troll-like in features; If we never saw their faces? I don't mean to open doors that some would like to have remained closed, but these things I think of all the time and I thought I would simply write it down.....IMO...Linte :)

I hate long skirts and head-scarves I have to wear at school...(compulsary for Muslims, as a rule)...
I'm fond of many before I knew of their looks... and believe me we still continued our friendship...long after that... =)

I would ask Orlando Bloom what he thinks of the huge popularity that he has generated among women with his terrific portrayal of Legolas.

I would ask Orlando if he thought it an honor or an annoyance to be thought of as a heartthrob. And probably ask either him or Liv if they would be my pen pal.....lmao
