Little Devil

Celebrían
April 20th,2003, 04:18 AM
Date chocolate? Never seen that! I bought a big chocolate bar to go along with my movie rental last night (in case your curious it was "The Four Feathers", not a bad movie, although I'm not sure I know how it ended!) back to chocolate...the label says it is "Chocolat Suisse", and in big letters in the middle it says "Suisse". It's (obviously) Swiss choc. Anybody ever heard of it? It was really good.

And tomorrow we can all report back about what types of Easter candy that we got from the "Easter Bunny". ;) I can't wait!

Enelya
April 20th,2003, 04:54 AM

And IMO you've missed a lot... dark chocolate is one of the best things in the world and it surely is the best chocolate

Arwen Undomiel
April 20th,2003, 02:35 PM
however, dark chocolate IS healthier and less fattening than its lighter counterpart and milk chocolate, because it contains more cocoa solids and less cream.

Enelya

Other Easter goodies: Tootsie Rolls, and a little box of "Celebrations" (little mini versions of Dove dark choc, Dove milk choc, Dove choc caramel, Milky Way, Milky Way Midnight, Twix, 3 Musketeers, and Snickers.

CHOCOLATE! What a scrumptous subject! One of the greatest discoveries to eat on the Planet....milk chocolate, yum yum..and dark chocolate - plain or with flavors, like orange, raspberry, rum, coffee (no amaretto, though..ick). Any one have a favorite "box" candy (as a set?) What would be your favorite?

Rune of Mirkwood
April 21st,2003, 04:41 PM
We do not have all the great stores you find in the huge cities or the malls....but one of our favorites is SEE's - originally started in So. San Francisco. Still the BEST I have tasted yet...and I've tried a lot of them!

Mocha

Lasgalen

Celebrían

i've never tried the two together, although i'm not a big fan of wine anyways.

Little Devil
April 22nd,2003, 12:25 AM
I've sorta tried it in one, the wine in the chocolate, though I have to say it was nice. ;)

Never tried chocolate with wine. What kind of wine do you recommend?

Arwen Undomiel
April 22nd,2003, 12:35 AM
i've never tried red wine, but white wine's pretty iffy! :(

Little Devil
April 22nd,2003, 12:36 AM
I dunno, there's all sorts whisky, red wine all sorts. I'm 14 and don't really like wine that much, but champagne's ok. I have a friend who actually drinks quite alot considering she's 13. :o

Lasgalen
April 22nd,2003, 03:08 AM

has anyone tried cadbury's dream chocolate? it's like dairy milk but white chocolate. i don't think it's as nice as milky bars and white chocolate buttons - i love those two!!! :loveyou: :loveyou:

Polly Sandybanks
April 22nd,2003, 05:53 PM
I tried some sort of chocolaty alcoholic drink once.. hmm.. can't remember the name of it though. The chocolate part of it was nice, but the rest wasn't. I don't like alcohol anyway, so I never drink it.

Noone should drink a lot. Drinking is alright, when it's within reason, but I really don't understand those who only drink to get drunk. Maybe I sound like some old grandmother or something now? Oh well.. :) If anyone thinks differently, please explain to me. :) I'd like that.

Arwen Undomiel
April 22nd,2003, 05:55 PM
well, this isn't an alcohol thread, so it's necessary to discuss such issues here. let's just stick to chocolate-related topics, please, eh? ;)

mmmmmmmmmm, i'm so torn between mint chocolate and white chocolate as favourite!!! :o :stomper:

Lasgalen
April 22nd,2003, 08:31 PM
I prefer mint chocolate. White chocolate is good too, but if I had to choose a fave I would say mint chocolate.

Celebrían
April 22nd,2003, 08:42 PM
I think I like mint choc better than white, but the best combo of all is peanut butter and chocolate.

Arwen Undomiel
April 22nd,2003, 08:52 PM
oooooh, i haven't tried that! i love peanut butter, but with chocolate, it sounds a bit sickly... :o

Lyrkalas
April 22nd,2003, 09:59 PM
I know this isn't an alcohol thread, per se, but I had the most amazing chocolate martini not too long ago—Absolut Vanilla, Godiva white liqueur (I think) and creme de cacao. Ooh, and chocolate sprinkles and whipped cream. Divine!!!

I'm a big fan or Hershey's Hugs with Almonds and anything DARK chocolate.

Enelya
April 22nd,2003, 10:12 PM

Ate a lot of Tootsie Rolls today. You know they aren't that bad for you (they don't have a lot of fat). I heard that if you work on the Tootsie Roll assembly line, you can pick off as many of them as you want! Where do I sign up? ;) lol

Ruby Yavevalar
April 30th,2003, 05:58 AM
The snicker Nutty Buddies, or the original? Well, I'll just tell ya bout both!!!
Nutty Buddies are vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, commonly with solid milk chocolate poured into the end, choco on top of the ice cream, and chopped nuts, pecans, I think, sprinkled on top. mmmmmm!!!!!
Snickers version just has caramel and choco in the ice cream or sumat...haven't had em in a while. :( good, tho!!!! lol
hahaha, me and my friends got cracked up once cause the nuddy buddy wrapper said "Caution: Contains Nuts" and we're like "duuuuuh!!! why else would it say Nutty Buddy?!?!" lol bit o useless info.......anywho...lol
