Yep, Arwen Undomiel, that is what Snack Bars are. You can get a larger version with I think 6 pieces in, but I don't see them around much. They'e kind of a shortbread taste - yum!
My brother eats "Rocky". I've never tried one though.
I've never tasted Symphony but I probably wouldn't like it as I don't like toffee.

Elfdaughter

I've never heard of Symphony. I love shortbread though.

Just finishing eating a Jaffa cake....I LOVE them!

YayBoromir!

Jaffa Cakes are OK... I find the different brands taste very different to each other. My grandparents have a whole stock of them, plus Custard Cremes... I love Custard Cremes.

Bramblerose Bunce
May 12th,2003, 09:09 PM
they are really good..and this time I really picked out some nice ones..so that's why it's so typical that I only got to taste one! :D

kexchoklad..yes..well, basically anything with chocolate is good. Especially here in Sweden..when I have gone to the States for instance it's not at all the same thing. So I am thinking of buying more of those chocolate seashells and bring them to my sister. She loves chocolate too!

Yup..that is Swedish we are talking and if you want to learn a few frases just ask! :)

Ja, roligt att hitta en svensk här. Har inte varit här på ett tag. Finns det många svenskar här på seiten?

Celebrían
May 12th,2003, 09:14 PM

I remembered there was a project in my school and for one of the maths exhibits, the kind for puzzle and logic thinking... There are some counters involved, and the group chose chocolate bars to represent them, so they made fake choco bars and used them as counters.
And the thing is... this kid came by and she thought they were real! And she actually tried to stuff one into her mouth!!! :o You can't imagine how frantic my friend and I got when we saw that lol (we were managing the maths department)

Enelya
May 15th,2003, 01:28 PM

Winyaél Greenleaf

Awww.. poor Bramble. lol No snack? *can just imagine Brambles mum and dad telling Bramble to leave the kitchen and Bramble disappointedly walking away* Awww...

Chocolatecovered strawberries were alright. I love strawberries. But the choc that mine were covered in was a bit too sweet for my taste. I'll try the dark choc next time.

Mirk and Catz has made me try darker and darker choc and I really like it now. :) Never used to eat it. It really fills you up though.

I can't stand anything that's too sweet anyway.

Bramblerose Bunce
May 15th,2003, 08:37 PM
lol I managed without the snack! :)

I suppose the dark chocolate is something that requires a certain taste. something you get use to. I'm not use to having dark chocolate, so that might be why I don't see it as my cup of tea. :)

Oreos are pretty nice, but I got really sick of them when we used to chomp on them during our breaktimes in school when everyone just wants to mug for exams in class and not budge from their seat to go to the canteen lol Oh well but then again, when you're mugging, nothing tastes great lol

I like Dove choco... miss 'em!

Arwen Undomiel

Gosh! You've got to stop doing this! ;) You just keep mentioning new kinds of choc and make me want to try all of them! It's all Mirky and Catz's fault that I got into Lindt in the first place. It was the first Choc thread (at another forum) where they just kept talking about Lindt, and I had never heard of it before. Love Lindt now. :) That's luxury choc. ;)

Now I've got to try Dove too when I can find it. I've tried Oreo cookies. They're ok. Can't remember much what they tasted like now though. :) It was ages ago.

Right at the mo I'm really enjoying a nice big sallad. Being very healthy today. ;)

Polly Sandybanks
May 17th,2003, 10:29 AM
I can't get all of those types of choc either. But I'll remember to try them when I go to those countries sometime in the future. (well.. one can dream)

Winyaél Greenleaf
May 17th,2003, 11:56 AM
The good thing is, the chocs in the choco industry in my country are mostly imported, so I don't get to miss much stuff. The bad thing is, since they are imported, naturally you need big bucks to get them :(

Enelya
May 17th,2003, 01:52 PM
yah, all that imported choco is really good, but so expensive:(
dove is very good:drool: but ive never had Lindt

Polly Sandybanks
May 17th,2003, 02:39 PM
Go get some Lindt right now! ;) It's worth the money even though it's a bit expensive. It's dark choc, so it lasts long as well. And you're not supposed to eat it every day anyway.

Hi guys. Haven't visited here before, but it sounds (tastes?) delightful. I am kind of a fanatic for those Andes chocolates with the layer of green mint in the middle. I like to let them melt slowly in my mouth. I hate when you get one at the end of your meal at a restaurant on on your pillow at a hotel. JUST ONE? That just makes me want to go out and buy a whole box.

Did anyone see 'Down With Love" yet at the movies? They even managed to get an erotic chocolate eating scene into it. Since its a parody of early 60's movies, that must have been a parody of the Thomas Crown Affair chess playing scene.
Down with Love is a pretty fun movie. At least for us old fogees.

No I haven't seen that. Sounds interesting though lol  By the way, here's a pretty interesting website I found... virtual choco... lol http://www.virtualchocolate.com/
Anyone who feels the need to go on a diet but can't curb your choco obssession can perhaps satisfy your stomachs here... though seriously, I don't think choco really adds on to those pounds ;)

No, not the choco - just all the fat or butter and sugar that goes into it's making. :naughty:
Speaking of cocoa,
some wonderful variations on this theme are:

Chocolate mousse
Chocolate milk
Chocolate malts
Brownies
Mocha Frappucinos
Grasshopper pie
Chocolate pudding
Chocolate cheesecake
Chocolate covered Strawberries.

I was shopping earlier today and thought I'd stay healthy, so I only bought apples and carrots. :) Then I sat here studying and was talking to a classmate on the Internet and said that I felt like some choc. And she said "Well.. you can go buy some, but do it quickly, because the shops close soon and tomorrow they are closed" (it's a holiday here tomorrow). I said "I could, but choc is not good for me." She said "Why????"
That was enough to get me to leave the flat for about 10 mins to walk down to the shop, get choc and choc icecream and come back. :) Ach!

My class did that before for food and funfair. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out too well... The whole thing was too sweet for words! Nevertheless, we forced the teachers to buy them anyway. lol What we did was sliced the banana into half, put a wedge of choco in between and put the whole thing into the microwave to be grilled. Then we sprinkle chocolate rice all over it. You could try it. But I'd never want to try my hand at it again. :o

Yay! Today, I finally got my hands (or rather mouth) on some choco. We don't keep a stockage at home. Mum says it's unhealthy  I was on my way home with a friend, carrying lots of stuff in our hands. Suddenly, we just had this impulsiveness to get a bar of choco each. We couldn't decide whether to get dove or snickers, so I bought a Dove choco bar and she bought snickers and we could share 'em. So there we were, holding on to all our stuff and trying to peel off the wrapper to eat the choco with just one hand. Quite a tedious task. lol In the end, I found out I preferred her snickers and she preferred my dove choco, so we ended up having to feed each other cuz it was quite impossible to exchange the choco without dropping our stuff, since we were sorta in the middle of no where. lol We must have looked like a couple of idiots lol

Just see the charm of choco and the weird things it does to us lol

Sounds droolsome!

Anyway, I was out today with 2 of my best friends and there was this caramel choco promotion and this promoter came over and told us if we could wolf down a bar (its pretty huge) within 100 secs, we could get another free bar and enter a lucky dip. But we just had lunch and the promoter was kind enough to let 3 of us share the choco. So we each took a bite and the choco was gone in 12 secs Record time was 10secs (by 1 person) I think. lol

There are big pieces of chocolate with caramel from Hawaii at home. One member of my family ate it and the tooth capping came off! lol (I'm not telling whose it is, because he/she might get mad)

Mmmmm...choclate....

I scoffed a whole bag of chocolate raisins yesterday, and I refuse to feel guilty, dang it!

My favourite chocs are Thornton's viennese truffles, with the lovely buttercream centre. Anyone else like those?

Haha, Polly! lol Now you just won't be able to stay away from these wonderful sweets! I haven't had chocolate in a while. I mean, I've had chocolate cookies and such, but not Chocolate, if you know what I mean. A good bar of Snickers should do for me. ;)
