What do you all reckon to Stoke's own Robbie Williams?? Personally, I didn't like him in Take That, but now I think he's blooming marvellous. I just got his new album, Escapology, which is a bit rockier than his last ones, but definately good stuff:thumbs:

Robbie is a natural entertainer, born to do it, so full of life, very sexy, has an immensley charisma and his performance on stage is, in contrast to some other artists, wonderful! He's got a good voice and what I've heard of his songs are mostly good. When I'm rating him as ok, it's because his type of music isn't my first choice; elsewise I love him!

i'm not that 'into' pop music but i love his music..i think it's cos it's not pure pop such as steps for example. it's kinda a mixture of rock, pop and indie....

Um I don't mind him much... but he has some songs I enjoy listening a lot... tho he has some that make me throw the radio/tv off the window...
Anyway I still think It'd have been a lot more fun if some Robies were harmed during filming that video :naughty: but that's just me lol

You are so lucky. I so want to go watch him live.
Before we moved to Oz, we came out for a holiday last year, and the week after we flew back to the UK, he was playing, and there was still tickets left!! I was all for breaking my leg so that I could stay a bit longer but unfortunatly my Dad wouldn't give me a push down the hill lol
He could rock me any day sweetie
Since I'm the elder, you'll have to queue behind me;)

Robbie Williams was one of those entertainers I really didn't want to like. I don't know, he had that history with that pop vocal group and he seemed a bit full of himself. But after listening to his music and seeing him in his interviews, (he can be really funny!) I found myself liking him even when I didn't want to...:D
So I admit it...I like him.

Did any of you guys see the MTV awards in barcelona the other day? In my opinion the whole thing sucked, don't even know why I watched it. Robbie was the only one there trying to get some life into the audience, which he didn't really succeed in. They hadn't done a very good job on the sound, he was making faces and covering his ear several times during his performance. Some years ago this used to be a fun show, but its not any more.pfbbt

Has anybody else heard that Robbie plans to retire in 6 years:o
Apparently he doesn't want to become an ageing rocker like a couple that are on the circuit( eg Rod Stewart - did any one see the Parkinson, where he was on, could have been the xmas special, and he was so drunk or high or something, and he fell over!!). Anyway, it'll be a shame if he retires, but as long as he comes to Oz once more, I'll be happy

No one knows. Robbie likes to confuse the press. To one he says he hates his own music and to others he says he's gonna rock till he dies...

Hey, BG, I watched the BBC-show with Robbie last night, and now I'm even more impressed with his entertainment- skills! He sure keeps up a high tempo, all without his voice breaking or becomming breathless! There sure aren't that many artists that manages even to dance and sing at the same time without sounding sour! He also has the guts to present real old songs, and it sounds good too. And I like him for being so frank about his alcohol- problems. Have you heard any other than "Feel" from the new album yet, a part from the ones in the show? Oh I loved "Nan"!
