This be Gondolin?

Found this at the official site long, long ago and wondered if it was Gondolin. It's a portrait from Elrond's library. I saw it in the Sp. Ext. in the making-of section but it never shed any light to what it's a portrait of. Any ideas? Gondolin, Nargothrond?

Since his grandparents and father were from Gondolin and Nargothrond was basically like Menegroth (caves), I believe it is Gondolin although I couldn't make out too much

Thats how I pictured Gondolin... and isn't that a mountain/hill thing behind it? could be the valley...
