I love the characters Elladan and Elrohir. You would never have guessed, right? ;)

I am desperately hoping that we will see them in TTT, but cannot find any evidence of such. Anyone?

I don't think so. They're not part of the whole LOTR thing, you know.

In a way I hope they don't make much of an appearance.....my RP character, Lissuin, has been developed off as the daughter of Elrohir and I kinda just wish to keep what I think he looks like in my mind with out the trouble of a real guy.....kind of just letting one's imagination run wild.:)

The guys are dark-haired like their father... not really much else to know about them... except if you're counting on how Elrond looks like.

I am very interested to know how you pictured them, Lissuin. Is it in any of the threads? And how did Elrohir come to have a daughter?

If you want to see how they are roughly going to look in the film on rotk i have a screen still of them it is a bit blurry however.

Thank you Kezzy! I hadn't seen that pic before. They could well be Elladan and Elrohir. The one on the left looks a bit dazed, however. Perhaps he is dreaming of Lothlorien or maybe Valinor.

The pic also looks to be from TTT. I live in hope!

I'd love to see them in the films but I'm a little nervous cos Haldir did NOT look the way I expected!! But I do love Elladan and Elrohir (I tend to go for the marginal characters in the book!!)

There is the theory that the famous Figwit is in fact one of the twins...

I liked both Elladan, & Elrohir.... They were way cool, but I'm just leary about any Elves other than Legolas being at Helms Deep. I don't think either of the twins will die, cause that would ruin RotK... But, it just doesn't seem right.....;)

Um Figwit was a bit ugly IMO... but that's from the pics... I've never managed to see him in the movie

I never really felt any way towards the twins from the book... they we're developed enough for me

Well, Tar knows I have a fondness for the twins, especially Elrohir.

I always wanted more about them in the book. Arwen's choice about giving up immortality becomes such an important theme in the book, but Tolkien never tells us what the boys' choice was.

Here's just a speculation of mine about the possible uses of Elladan and Elrohir in the movies:

Elves are at Helms' Deep in Two Towers. Will that exhaust the Elf supply or will a large contingent also show up in the ROTK? Elladan and Elrohir, in addition to Legolas, represented the only presence of Elves in the final battles in the book. If more Elves show up in ROTK to fight, will that eliminate the need for the twins? Or will the Lorien Elves decide they did their bit at Helm's Deep and stay home from the Pelennor Fields? Then it could be played up dramatically that Elrond shows his solidarity with Aragorn by sending his sons to fight. Thus showing he's willing to sacrifice not only his daughter to secure the future of Middle Earth, but his sons, too.

Very well put Bess i am kinda hoping it stays the way it is in the book whow the twins go thru the dead path with aragorn etc etc. It kinda gives a better idea abt the commitment of Elrond to saving middle earth.

I'm with the rest of you. A really big part of me hopes PJ didn't change RotK too much... The Battle of Pelennor Fields was cool enough. You don't need to add a whole bunch of extra Elves to the mix.........;)

I am writing fan fiction that revolves around Elladan, Elrohir, Aragorn (very young man), Legolas and a chracter I created. If you're intersted (PG13) it's here: The Lost City of Tirillon (http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=991365)

I am open to feedback and suggestions for the story and characters. Use the review feature
