David (Faramir) Wenham

Okay as an Australian I know who David Wenham is. Like the rest of the female population of this country, I know how drop dead swooney gorgeous he was as Diver Dan in Seachange *sigh*. I have no idea however, if he's even known to other ringers outside of this country. Well before he was cast as Faramir that is. So that's I what I want to find out here.

I voted for Audrey in Moulon Rogue. Thou it's been awhile since I've seen that movie. So sadly I can't really remember him. I'll have to rectify that soon, and watch it again...;)

You don't have his bit part in Crocidile Hunter with Steve Irwin listed but that's ok..that may have only been released in the States. I didn't see the movie because it was marketed toward kids, but those around me who saw it said he had the best role in an otherwise silly movie and that his part was funny.

He was funny as "Audrey"! :) That one I did see.

I know this Australian girl who goes on and on about Dave Wenham and swoons all over the place whenever he is mentioned and says he looks much better on film that he does in still pictures which I can believe. I didn't think much of Merry and Pippin until I actually saw them on screen. ducks Please don't hit me!

Dave W. looks fine in his stills so he must look really good on the big screen.

I had to vote for Diver Dan even though I hardly ever watched Sea Change. It seemed like every woman in Oz was swooning over him at the time. Personally I prefered Siggy. ;)

I have seen Moulin Rouge several times, but I can't remember seing David in it!? I'll have to see it again. Other than that I don't think I've ever seen him before.
But if he was in Moulin Rouge, then that is probably why I thought I recognized him when I saw The Two Towers the first time. :)

Better than Sex was ok - he looks a lot better in that than in TTT but for some reason, he kept reminded me of one on my closet male friends so I found it really weird.

I just noticed there's a piccy of David as "Diver Dan" in the cast section (http://www.warofthering.net/movies/cast/davidwenham.shtml) here on WOTRn. Down in the bottom right.

I was just on a search to see if SeaChange was still on TV somewhere and I came across a 60 minutes (http://sg1.paddington.ninemsn.com.au/sixtyminutes/stories/2001_09_09/story_411.asp) interview with him (as with the usual 60minutes interviews, it's more a biographical interview about David Wenham its not about LOTR). There's a transcript of the interview but there's also a 4 min video of part of the interview (use the play button, on the left, that looks like a piece of film (http://sg1.paddington.ninemsn.com.au/sixtyminutes/media/60mins_video.asp?asf=/60_min/01_season/010909/the_mask_lo.wmv&x=1&msAd=60mins&brand=60%20Minutes)(this link works) - the picture was a bit screwy when I hit the "playbutton arrow" on the right). I really do recommend it to anyone (especially those that have not seen him before). The rest of the interview can be read in the transcript.
He really is absolutely adorable in the video :cuddles: trust me. And there's a brief snippet of SeaChange on the video.

I was very surprised when I knew that David was Audrey in Moulin Rouge. I couldn't believe and I watched the film another time and I could see with my eyes. I think that this is a prove that David is a great actor: he can play with everything character!!!

I saw David Wenham in the cast list for the movie "Van Helsing", which is said to come out May 21, 2004. It is about Bram Stoker's fabled monster hunter, Van Helsing (played by none other than Hugh Jackman), who is summond to Eastern Europe during the late 19th century to deal with the Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein. The only movie I have seen with him is Moulin Rouge. After rewinding and fastforwarding a million times I finally spotted him. The reason why no one has recognized him is because he plays a crossdresser and looks like a woman. But does any know of any movies that I can see him in that arent Australian so i can see then here in the states???

I just recently read the back of the CROCODILE HUNTER COLLISION COURSE. David is listed as being in the cast on the back. Have you ever seen the documentary called THE BEACH? He is the narrarator.
