by Marion Zimmer Bradley is EXCELLENT! They made it into a made for TV movie that wasn't so good...READ this book. King Arthur but told from the womens perspective....has prequels that are not as good as Mists but still well written ...The Forest House and another I cannot recall at the moment.

I read them a couple of years ago, and I really liked them! Tried to find them in the shops, no luck. I've read some other books on the same topic, but not as good as these. (Steven Lawhead was terribly translated into norwegian, maybe they're better in english?) I would read them again.:)

I love this book! I haven't read any of the others on principle (The author is just cashing in on the world created rather than basing it on myth stuff), but it filled my head for months! Thinking about it, maybe I should go reread....

It's a fantastic book! I read it over three or four times and it's one of my favourites! :)

I love this book, too, though it took me ages to read, which always annoys me in a book. The other prequel is Preistess of Avalon, and The Lady of Avalon. I loved it so much I went and bought Le Morte d'Arthur, by Sir Tomas Malory, which I have yet to read. I also haven't read the prequels, but I never seem to find the time to read as much as I want, despite reading more than anyone else in my English class.

The prequels are good. Actually, the Forest House is another good book, which I think is also a prequel that I recommend.
