Blue eyes everywhere!

Did you notice that EVERYONE (besides Orcs and stuff) has blue eyes EXECPT SAM? Isnt that funny!!? Gandalf has 'em, Aragorn, Arwen, Legolas,FRODO and (Frodo's eyes are the best eyes in the entire movie becuase 3 times in the movie he just stands/sits there a there is a huge close-up on his face and wooooo!) everyone else....

Can anyone point out other people who DONT have blue eyes? I WANT BLUE EYES!

You know you are right about the blue eyes thing! They ARE everywhere in Middle Earth (Frodo's are definitely the best though! :loveyou: )

Ummmmmmm... i can't really tell by the v.small pic i have of him... but i think gimli has greeny/brown eyes! celeborn's might be green/blue... not sure bout Elrond. I thought he was brown...

To be honest iwas more concerned with gazing into the eyes of certain rugged ranges, granite elves and georgeous hobbits! Elrond didn't get a look in lol (get it...look in...eyes..., ok i'll just shut up!)

you can speak more with a glance than with any amount of words....just watch any couple who have been together a long time, who are still in love......its their eyes that do the talking....and everyone knows its easier to lie over the phone than in person......*grins* and as to my eyes, i'm catz, so of course my eyes are green...tho i can do blue ;)
PS: all the elves had blue eyes except for Elrond....they wore contacts.....;)

Well, that's me at least...

If you look real close you can see that there's a thin circle of yellow around the pupil, then a whole lot of grey, then a thin circle of green, and a thin circle of blue outlines the rest of the eye.

Considering my eyes were once blue, then they became hazel, and then grey.... Next they'll be as yellow as a cat's.... And come the end of my life they'll be as black as anything.

I so look forward to that.

Well, I don't have blue eyes, but I love mine just the same. I happen to have green eyes and I must say, they are quite pretty. :)

And the fact that most of the fellowship have blue eyes in the movie is sheer coincidence--so says Ian "Gandalf" himself. In fact, in the book did Frodo not have brown eyes? Even if he did, I couldn't imagine him now with anything other than blue. ;)

It's true, the eyes are the window of the soul; I wrote a poem once about someone's eyes being the "Mirror of Your Soul' ; maybe I'll post it.
My eyes are green, and I like them this way! They used to change color alot, according to my moods. Now, they are moss-green with a tiny yellow ring around the pupil; very unusual, just like me!;)

My eyes are brown... they used to be more green than brown but they change as you grow up and now they are flat out brown besides the little green ring around mine :) But I adore blue eyes! If I see a guy with dark blue eyes I'll try to make an appearance... but you never know what they will be like... but anyway tahts off the subject soo ...hmmm

I'm not sure, but doesn't some of them have brown or green eyes!? I mean.. not in the movie. But I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of Orlando with brown eyes, for example. Did they wear contact lenses, or was it the lights in the movie? Or what happened!? Or am I just totally confused? :mmmm: :(

No Polly, it wasn't the lights or anything, good old contacts did the trick of improving upon orli's greeny/brown and transforming them into a sparkling blue. You want a taster of the SPARKLINGNESS of them then watch the bit in the trailer when he spins round and they do a close up....drool....

Mind you, the best eye close up is when gollum is pratting around at the end and frodo wakes up. what a way to tease us! :loveyou:

My Dad's got really bright blue eyes and so has my sister. Mum's eyes are, to quote her, 'the colour of mud'. Frodo's eyes almost blinded me (BTW they were enhanced, sorry to douse the dreams of EW fans), Mel Gibson's eyes are really blue too and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) has stunning blue eyes. I saw all these blue eyes in one day a while ago - and to top it all off, I saw my own blue eyes (they're grey now, they change with the seasons) staring back at me! :o too much blue :o

Oh, and did anyone see the BBC's make of Gormenghast? The guy playing Titus was wearing contacts that gave him VIOLET eyes!

Yes Elijah's eyes were enhanced in FOTR, but if you look at the candid shots of Elijah, or non-professional picture of him, his eyes are almost as blue. He still is known as 'Elijah blue eyes'
