I'm just curious if any of you know what appears on the different covers of the Soundtrack. So far I've only seen an Aragorn one and a Frodo & Sam one. If you've seen more, which ones are your favorites? :)

The soundtrack I got was just a blue cover, much like the cover of the extended DVD.... my CD was expensive though, because it was enhanced with special features etc...

I bought the Aragorn cover, and on the other side is Gimli. I also saw Frodo & Sam, Arwen, and Galdalf.

there's a gollum cover too. i've seen the limited edition ttt soundtrack with the blue cover. there was a fotr version last year, and 'cos i never bought that one, i figured there wasn't any point buying this one.

i've got the aragorn cover; i spent AGES and went to so many different music stores in different towns to try and find my lovely araggy cover! most places stocked the gollum, and frodo and sam ones!

elvenwanderer, the special edition is available in limited numbers in england in hmv and virgin stores. i saw some copies just the other day, so i know it's still in stock. the special edition contains music from the extended version of fotr, as well as a collector's character card and a blue leathery cover. it's a bit more expensive than the standard soundtrack.

i got the internet special edition one as a b-day gift, and it has all the covers, and you can pop it in the computer for tons of cool stuff. i love it for the pics though. they're really well done.

I bought the blue leather special edition soundtrack at Barnes and Noble, (I think). It just has a few extra things on it that you can access on DVD-ROM. There is also an internet only edtion that (hence the name) you can only buy on the internet ( I think this one is brown leather). This edition (internet edition) has more extra stuff than the "special edition" does (the blue leather). Anyway...the "blue leather edition" you can get at any music store, although it may be hard to find, but maybe not. :)This version has a previously unreleased track form the FOTR Extended Edition DVD, which is really cool. The "normal" soundtrack does not have this. It's just exaxtly what you heard when you saw TT in the theatre (in other words, no extras). Hope that helps! :)

cool! i didn't even know there was an internet-only edition - like how many editions can they bring out??! i bet that one costs a fair bit more than the standard version.
