Didn't we see his crown when we saw the future vision in "The Two Towers" of Arwen in mourning over Aragorn's body. I'm pretty sure it was a fairly simple cornonet like thing.

Perhaps the solider in that shot is part of a ceremonial guard. They have ceremonial armour, helms and swords that they don't actually use in battle or something....
