My siblings and I were playing around the other day and we re-wrote a song with LotR lyrics. It's not very good, but it is the first one we've ever done.
It is kind like Frodo's thoughts at the foot of Mt. Doom.
"Sam as a Friend" (sung to the tune of the "Enterprise" theme song "Faith of the Heart")
It's been a long road
Gettn' from there to here,
It's been a long time,
But the time is finally near
When I will see the Ring
destroyed at last
In the Cracks of Doom
And it's not gonna drag me
down no more,
And I'll no longer be consumed.
'Cause I've got Sam as a friend,
And he's gonna carry me to the top.
He's had strength for us both
To press onward to our goal.
He's had faith from the start,
And he'll go on and never stop.
We will reach the end,

It doesn't seem to rhyme very good, but then neither does the actual song!
