Okay, I was really bored, so I tried to think of a new game. And I thought of this one. I hope it doesn't suck.

I say a qoute from LOTR. And you guys have to tell me what chapter it's from. Whoever answers correctly first then says a qoute and everyone guess what chapter that ones from. Get it?

I'll start with an easy one:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"These are emblems of Durin!" cried Gimli.
"And there is the Tree of the High Elves!" said Legolas
"And the Star of the House of Feanor." said Gandalf.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good luck!

Beregond ...

This passage comes from "The Fellowship of the Ring" and more specifically from the Chapter entitled "A Journey in the Dark" (Chapter 4, Book 2).

Here we have the Company standing before the doors of Moria and these quotes refer to the designs on the door ...

My Turn?

Algamesh
"He rides from the North ... like swift wind upon the grass ..."

It's about Shadowfax, isn't it? I can't find the FotR! Grr ... verymad
It's on page 344 or 347 of Book 1 - can I get away with that?

If so, here's my quote - 'On foot?'
If not then I repeat verymad

Algamesh, I'm not questioning your answer, I'm trying to answer your question (does that make sense? ) I thought this one - 'He rides from the North ... like swift wind upon the grass' - was Algamesh's. So I tried to answer that one, that's what my post is about.

Hehehe....

Kwijibo.....That's quote is part of his signature, not part of the game. :p

But I can see how easy it could be mistaken in a "Quotes" game. lol

Wel ... here you go ... I was looking for something a bit obscure ...

To do these things we have ridden far and we shall attempt them. But what we shall achieve only tomorrow will show.

Have fun!

You can find it in RotK
Book Five
Chapter 5 - the Ride of the Rohirrim

Ok..my turn! ;)

ok..an easier one! ;)

"What are these?" asked Sam, handling one that lay upon the greensward.

If I add anymore it will be too simple! :)
