TESTIMONY

I love him like a brother
and I love him as a friend;
I would follow him forever
or until life's journey ends.

Through all my days to serve him
and protect him from all foes;
But the way that lies before him
is a path no mortal knows.

I have passed through fire and water
just to stay close by his side;
Now he's gone where I can't follow
far across the flowing tide.

But as roads go on forever
there may come a day of grace;
In a moment sweet at journey's end
at last I'll see his face.

Yes, that is really good! As rid. said, the language is simple but the meanning goes deep. I could just imagine Sam writing that.
