I just heard that Maurice Gibb (Bassist for the BeeGee's) died today. I only found out last night he was critically ill in hospital and I read they thought he may have been getting better. Such a shame :(

For those of you too young to know who he is ...the Bee Gee's (three brothers hence the name "Brothers Gibb" -> the BG's) are probably best known for the tracks they contributed to Saturday Night Fever the movie which starred John Travolta; most notably the perennial disco numbers Stayin Alive and Night Fever

I'm shocked. How sad. They produced such beautiful sounds for my youth.

My sister is only 22 this year but has been a huge fan of the group for more then 7 years and she will be devastated by the news. I absolutely love the Bee Gees and am very saddened myself. Disco never died! Someone just hit the snooze in most peoples houses...;)

I am really, really sorry for his relatives. My whole family loves them. And so do I! Read today that Barry and Robin are going to proceed with the BeeGees and that they are going to investigate Maurice's death. Once again: mecry
