Thats right cause I cringe when people sing and really arn't good at it!

But if youv'e read Orli's Biography he used to be really good at composing poems and entered lots of competitions - maybe he could hum it as a poem - It's better than nothing Cause i just wanna see more of Legolas is all!

If you're talking about Legolas singing a line of a song, much as Aragorn sings the Lay of Luthien in FOTR then I could handle that whether or not he can sing. Okay yes it would sound better if he had a classicaly trained voice, but not everyone does and its kind of more realistic given that everyone seemed to sing something or recite a poem somewhere in the book. People were more accepting (or atleast you'd have to be), afterall we're talking about a world without MTV or CDs etc You wouldn't have the same high standard to be judged against. I'd be happy with him mumbling something in Elvish thats on tune. I loved the piece that Aragorn sang and you couldn't really tell whether he had a good voice from that. Kept the tune nicely though.

If on the other hand you are refering to the Soundtrack then a great voice is an absolute must.

Yeh we've heard Bilbo, Gandalf, Aragorn (FOTR-SEE) and the Hobbit Chorus (Pippin, Merry, Frodo (did everyone in the pub join in? - I can't quite remember so maybe Sam aswell) were really singing in the GreenDragon - FOTR-SEE) sing, mumble or hum a tune. So why not Legolas quietly murmuring something in Elvish about the sea along to a vague tune for a few words. Doesn't phase me either way, doesn't worry me if he can sing or not. Its keeping in spirit with the books though. I'll take it or leave it.

The thing that I was most dissapointed with so far in The Lord Of The Rings movies is that there isn't much singing. I mean I would love to hear Legolas, Frodo, Sam and Aragorn sing because it was in the book and practically every song or poem tells a story of somebody in the elder days and that is part of the history so therefore I thought that at least some songs should have been sung and when I didn't hear any I was quite dissapointed. Especially with the leaving out of Tom Bombadil. He was really cool and they left him out and I was shocked as it was a pretty big part at the start of FOTR and plus who wouldn't want to hear Orli, Viggo, Sean and Elija sing? :p

Yes I think romance is too heightened in this movie! When I read the book the only romance I saw was Frodo's love for the Shire and the love of Middle Earth. Oh yeah and Gollums love for the ring. Arwen isn't discussed that much or is the love between her and Aragorn. I think Eowyn's love or like for Aragorn is alot more intense in the book. But thats just what I think...
