Thought I would share a couple of my favorite LotR related art sites. The Art of the Rings (http://www.angelfire.com/film/stormcrow/) and the work of Donato (http://www.donatoart.com/). Very beautiful and astutue work. Be sure to check out the Gallery Cafe at AotR. Donato's site has a wide variety of work with most of the LotR being under the Fantasy heading, pages 5 and 6.

Ooops, remembered another... Chuck (http://chucks888.freeservers.com/) has some very nice work. Be sure to check out his commission work.

Found another good site with illustrative scenes of LotR and the Sil here at Tolkien Fantasy (http://www.geocities.com/tolkienfantasyweb/artgallery.htm), some artists I recognize, others I don't. Be sure to check out Melkor and Ungoliant, it's beautiful.

I had seen a couple of these works here and there and enjoyed them. Here are all the pages done by Michael Wm. Kaluta for the 1994 JRR Tolkien calender (http://www.kaluta.com/pages/tolkien/calendar.html). Interesting work.
