This thread is not comparing Gimli to Boromir, and if it was, Boromir would win. Though I have absolutely nothing against Gimli. I just like Boromir better. I've tried archery before too. Some guys came to our sch and did some demo. Then they invited volunteers to try. We had 3 tries. Bascially, I think the guys did everything for us. They just wrapped those things around my hand (hand guards or wrist guards, whatever), and push the huge bow in my hand. It was rather heavy, and I felt rather intimidated. lol Anyway, I think they helped us to aim too, cuz they were like adjusting our hands and the angle we were aiming for us, and all we had to do was release the arrow. so not surprising that most of us scored bulls eye lol. But the first time, I didn't pull with emough strenght and the arrow just flew out, hit the target board and fell to the ground.
In conclusion, like what Arwen says, archery is hard to master. lol
